Starks should be ready to practice the first day after week 6. They will get some idea if he has the system down enough to takes a few snaps.
I wouldn't expect him to jump in as a starter unless he starts ripping off giant runs. Very doubtful. I see him more as depth. Hopefully solid and working his way up.
I am under no illusions of his potential contributions and am hoping he, Nance, Jackson and Kuhn along with the O-line starting to play better, will provide us with a passable run game. I don't expect a lot, just consistent positive yards and moving the chains when we need it, like the end of the Detroit game. The problem with the run game may just be lack of downs where we run. In Detroit, it was just a lack of Offensive downs period.
I actually like Kuhn. He usually doesn't get more than 15 yards on a carry yet he averages almost 5. If he could do that for 20+ carries a game, the D would get mashed into a pulp.
I want to go out like my Grandpa did. Peacefully in his sleep.
Not screaming in terror like his passengers.
