and we sit tight?

how many dudes do we have to lose before we make a play for someone decent?

Why is it that all these other teams seem to grab players that can obviously contribute. Look at the jets and ravens pickups this season.

Heck our Dline is paper thin also now atm and at the beginning of the season it was looking quite full:
- we didnt know about jolly
- harrel was still a possibility
- neal was healthy
- jenkins didnt have a broken hand (although he's still playing well)

My 2 questions are
- when is bigby coming back? ... I admit burnett was starting to grow on me and I think perhaps he might turn out to be better then bigby.

- So far Im not satisfied with jackson; I think we need more of a power runner. Why kuhn seems to be doing fairly well although; he's pretty much just all strength and we need someone with a bit of finese also.

I understand Ted Thompson is comfortable with his plan or whatever, but how many injuries is it going to take to see that we might actually need some help? I'm not talking a blockbuster trade here, but bring in a legit RB or some secondary help or something. We are sinking fast here.

Can we lose a game or 2 before we start to say we're sinking?

We're 3-1!

I'm not saying you're wrong but...whatever. Nevermind, if this is how you enjoy sports, go for it.

Yeah. 3-1 and the last 2 games have been worrisome. We imploded against Chicago and won by the skin of our teeth against Detroit, both teams we have more talent than. Especially Detroit. We should of stomped on them, division rivals or not. Aaron Rodgers should of had a field day and he did rightfully so in the 1st quarter, but that 2nd half was embarrassing on both sides. Washington is going to be a test, especially with Torain playing hot right now and getting the start at RB. I really think he is gonna have a break out game sadly.

Dulak, the answer to your 1 question is: Bigby is eligible to be back on the team after week 6. When he actually does come back is unknown because it is not known how long it will take him to get ready to play.

As for RB: Ryan Grant averaged 18 carries a game last year, okay? Kuhn, with Grant out, is averaging 7 carries a game. So, we must account for 11 carries more - we do NOT need to panic over 11 more carries.

FYI, Nance is billed as the type of runner you say you want. Let's give him a chance before we panic and get all over-emotional.

Detroit is a really, really improved team. They are not the Millen era Lions - they are vastly improved.

Yes this team has holes. But come on, 3-1 is 3-1. When you look back in December at the first month of the season, you are not going to remember that the Packers did not win in style against the Lions, you'll remember we were 3-1 in the first four games.

So, you want us to go get secondary help? Yeah, because any DB can come in off the street and be ready in a week to play Capers' 3-4. [/sarcasm]

Let's go sign someone, and then wait 4-5 weeks until their ready to contribute. Some good that will do us now. We basically have what we have, until Atari and Al come back. Anything we get in the short term would not be of much use.

Calm. Down. Please.

And now I'm reading that Collins has a "strained" knee and is not optimistic about being able to play on Sunday.
The Green Bay Packers are starting to resemble a M.A.S.H unit.
Add the bad news about Barnett and a very promising season is turning ugly.
Damn injury bug won't leave the Packers alone.

What I don't understand is why are so many of our defensive players getting hurt? They're the ones applying the hits, not taking the hits.

Michael Lewis wants out of San Fran. Maybe we put a package together to pick him up?

Can we stop with the 3-1 talk. We beat the Bills who may go winless, and barely beat Philly and Detroit. This is a very ugly 3-1. We have a difficult schedule ahead and if we can add weapons to our team I wouldn't mind mortgaging some of our future to guarantee us a playoff spot. I'm not overly convinced we are a playoff team at this point.

let's not forgot our middle linebacker.

Do we actually still have any starters on our team left?

I agree with Twinkiegorilla.
