IMHO unless the Packers develop a legitimate NFL caliber running game their offense will continue to struggle.
Right now the lack of a running threat is holding this offense back.

Anyone who believes Starks will be the answer is grasping at straws.

We need a RB Ted Thompson make it a trade for the sake of the potential glory season.

The RB isn't going to make or break the glory season. I think special teams has made it clear the fate of this season rests in their hands.

Of course it's not that is why I clearly said potential glory season, all tho it can help us a lot. Assuming we actually had a running game, I'm sure minimum 1 of the INT's of this game wouldn't happen.

If we had an actual running game, we could of ran the ball in the bears game more, running off the clock and actually giving us a better chance to win the ball game.

We won against the Lions by two points, we're a one dimensional team. We're lucky that the defense stepped up or else we we're going to lose. It's really easy to stop a one dimensional team, if the opposing team is caling 90% pass then what do you do?

A running game is very important not only for clock management but also for your pass game. I can assure you if we had Grant or an actual running game Aaron Rodgers would be posting much better numbers due to the opposing team defense plays and them not actually knowing what we're going to do.

Through 4 games GB has passed 122 times and ran the ball 96 times.
They have 52 first downs via the pass and 22 by running. They may not be effective in the run but they are hardly one dimensional. Of course these numbers don't reflect the 15 times that Aaron looked to pass and then ran the ball.

Their opponents have 133 passes and ran 91 times.

I think we'll be fine. I think Kuhn and Jackson will come around. I think Starks will be our Savior. I think our passing game won't suffer. I think our defense can handle the excess time on the field. I think our special teams are OK. I think I'm full of sh1t.

Jackson ran the ball very well in the first 1/2. Starting to see some adjustment in the play calling and blocking. Less stretch plays and more seal blocking. I think he only had one Zero run in the 1st 1/2 and was really nothing he could do when your FB gets stuffed on your running lane.
The world needs ditch diggers too Danny!!!

I have been wondering if it is time to call Kuhn the #1 RB. Let him pound away at the line 15-18 times a game. I realize he doesn't have breakaway speed but if he consistently picks up 3-4 yards and wears down the DL that is something.

Move Jackson back to the 3rd down back and let hi do what he does best.

Leave room for Starks. If he shows he can do something work him in. If not either put him on IR or inactivate him for the games.

I agree with this. I'm liking Kuhn. I'll predict his longest run of the season will be under 30 yards as he's just not that fast. But he does hurt people, and wearing down defenders is a good thing.

Jackson though can be our change of pace back as well as our 3rd down back. Jackson is fast.

Plus, for the love of God, MM, please throw a few screens to Jackson a game.

I think they tossed a few to B Jack in the Bears game didn't they? I wish they would give him 2-3 screens a game. (It is hard to ask for more when they have such a nice stable of receivers running down field.) But if they send everyone else out in a pattern Jackson should be able to pick up 8-12 yards every time. Then when the defense cheats up to cover the screen hit Finley or Greg for a big gainer.

If anyone feels better we have a better running game than DA dumb ass Bears,Bears are 31th and were 22nd.Honestly were not that bad compared to other teams.Yes we do need it to be better but hell I worrie about other things on are team than are running game which could by all means get better. And it actually looked better yesterday I think it is getting better,Quick note I liked that arod checked out a lot of plays yesterday to turn them into runs they should do it more.Hell even the running game won the game at the end.

It is not entirely fair to do this but if you take out Rodgers running plays (15 times for 69 yards) most of them scrambles when things broke down, GB has 309 yards on 81 carries. That would make them the 26th best team running the ball. This shows they do have a few problems.
