I like building from within but sometimes you just have to take a chance or two.
I guess a 3.9 yard per average is acceptable to management.

I think more along the lines of you want to upgrade your weaknesses, wherever they are. I don't think it would be much of an argument that Lynch could be a big upgrade over Jackson. Jackson's a good 3rd down back, but Lynch is a better 3rd down back AND a better 1st and 2nd down back.
I am bummed that Lynch was traded for something that small. I watched Lynch in college and was impressed. The Bills suck and morale is horrible so I can understand why Lynch isn't looking as good. I wouldn't be surprised if he excels elsewhere. I guess we'll see.
