We ran it 13 times with our Rbs. Hard to say we don't(or do) have a run game with that.

With that said, I was glad we were pass happy. The Bears are a really good run stopping defense and this was not the game to see what Bjack and company have. No reason for trial by fire when you have A-Rod and company.

Of course it didn't work out very much cuz of the 18 penalties\JJ fumble\special teams hiccup* but I think the "we have no run game!" stuff is a little premature. Let us run it 20-25 times and fail before you say the running game isn't there, because as of now, we just don't know.

*Special teams hiccup. That's what I'm going with for now because games 1 and 2 were pretty damn good STs, almost everyone seen it and acknowledged what a pleasant surprise it was. Game 3 did remind me of last year, but 2 positives, 1 negative so far. Let's see what happens.

Edit - I just seen Finley's Topic about the run game so a mod can delete this if they want. My bads.

Good point... The talk is too much, too early... But with that said, Jackson's future as a starting NFL RB looks awfully bleak. It's way too early to completely condemn the run game yet, but I won't be holding my breath.

Agreed. Can't say it looks really bad, but you can't really say it looks good either. Jury's still out, but I do believe the deck is stacked against us.

Well....13 rushes, and what did we average? One yard per run?
That's not really a running game. More of a "running crawl".
Teams don't have to take it seriously. Which of course means they can just pin their ears back and rush the passer.
Which is just what we saw Monday.
Agaianst a GOOD team, AR will get killed if we can't get a running game that can actually DO something.

Yes, it is too early, but what has people like me worried is how tentative Jackson has looked on his runs. Grant had a lot of unproductive games, but he hit the hole so much harder than Jackson does, and he proved that he could gain a lot of yards if given the opportunities. Until we see that from Jackson at least once, there is reason to worry.

When Grant went down, I thought Jackson would be able to take over without too much of a dropoff in production, but I'm not feeling very good about that prediction now. Maybe the Lions will be the cure for what ails us.

We averaged little over 3 yards a run... not really good. But the Bears have a good run D. If our rushing game has big days against both the Lions and the Redskins (bad teams though they are) I will have a little faith in our running game again.

Yes by all means let's run Arod around until he cramps up
some more, and maybe even injures himself just to prove
that we don't need no running game.

Starks will be playing in a few weeks and suprise everyone.

He will be the Packers run game and will make the offense truly awesome.

The Packers have not made any trades because they KNOW Starks will be flashing lot's of highlight material.

Be patient Packer fas that run game will be there in the 2nd half of the season and playoffs.

Starks hasn't played football in a loooong time. I can't put my hope in him. Not even a little.
