Question will be...is he 3rd or 4th on the depth chart when he comes back?

Like others have said he missed all of his senior year due to injury I personally don't think he is going to contribute much at all this year. I hope I am wrong but I just don't see it.

I believe he will be 3rd on the DC for this year (with Grant out). I suppose you could consider Kuhn ahead of him, but I would put Starks ahead of him, as I would like to just keep Kuhn at FB, getting carries every once in awhile.

Thing about Starks is he can CATCH the ball. I mean well. This is something none of our other RBs are capable of. Yes I know, Bjack can "catch." But he's not a guy who's gonna beat you doing that.
Starks can catch the ball like a reciever, and he's got speed to take it to the house anytime. You can't coach speed. He can also make people miss.
If Nance can contribute after a week, Sparks can work in on some screens, at minimum.

Yeah I agree...Starks should be ahead of Kuhn.

The good news is Starks has been in on all the RB meetings, tape sessions etc. He should have the playbook and terminology down by now and certainly by the time he comes back. As has been said if Nance can play after a week in the system, Starks should be able to do something on his return, even if it's only some basic packages.

By the playoffs Starks could potentially be 2nd on the DC behind BJax and ahead of Kuhn and Nance. But it's all speculation at this stage.

Agreed. I'm not looking for him to be picking up blitzers as the 3rd down back in the playoffs. But I think he could contribute.

Yeah, I don't think most of us are talking about him being a major factor. But bring him in slowly, a couple of plays a game, and after a few weeks of getting reps in practice, he might be able to provide a solid 5-10 plays a game towards the end of the season. Who knows, maybe he even offers something on special teams as well? Sounds like a pretty good idea to me.

I don't think the front office is relying on Starks as "the answer" at this point though. Give me a break. We're just talking about a few plays a game and depth.

I definitely think that he would offer more than Dimitri Nance. Starks knows all of our plays, and I believe that he has a better skill-set.

I see Nance being cut in favor of him.

I hope Starks is 100% healthy when he comes off PUP after week 6. The Pack sure needs a spark in their running game.
