Wade - I see a lot of bands and two of my biggest regrets are I never saw Dio in any shape or form. I should have seen him with Heaven & Hell but I think I had to work. 😞 I should have actually quit that job sooner.
My second big regret is I never saw Tarja. I saw Annette and she was fabulous, although she's a trained pop singer, not operatic like Tarja.
That "Over the Hills" video was cool. It's when Nightwish was starting to get a budget as they were getting really big in Europe. I don't think they got big in America until Once but then again, Americans have no taste when it comes to music.
Tarja is my example of why a man shouldn't be platonic with a woman, unless he's in love with someone else. It never works. Tuomas ended up falling for her and she became a diva. It got ugly and that's why we got Annette today. Nothing against Annette. Tuomas wanted to go an entirely different direction.
Here's my favorite Nightwish video. They had a cheesy one before as they had no budget, but this one they had a budget. I love the swords theme.
