Morgan Burnett made a big league play on that interception, ripping the ball out of the receiver's hands before he could secure it. I can only think of two other Packer DBs in recent years who might make that play: Charles Woodson and Leroy Butler.

Harris did it to TO... was that 2 or 3 years ago? I want to say it was a playoff game. But, the refs ruled Harris as out of bounds, when it was obvious he was not. Regardless...

Ah, good call! That was the loss to the Cowboys at Dallas in 2007. I think it was on the opening drive. It might have changed the tone of the game if the refs didn't miss the call.

I personally cringe when I see Morgan Burnett in the picture, because frankly I think he's taken a few bad angles in the first couple of games of his career. Now those type of lapses (expected of a rookie) have not cost us, but I dread they will force us to bring Collins into the box. I do not want that to happen, and frankly sooner or later we will get burned if Burnett doesn't tackle the guy when he gets a chance. I will admit though, for a rookie Burnett has not had any glaring lapses, which I think is pretty much the only thing you can ask of him seeing as he is a 21 year old rookie.

Is it just me, or does Barnett seem a half-step too slow? A couple of times today I saw him chasing and I expected him to catch-up and stop the play for a few yard gains. Well he did not, and the opposing player seemed to run past him. McGinn pointed out that Barnett seemed a step slow in TC this year compared to the past, and while I did not notice in pre-season I seem to be seeing it in the regular season.

I was honestly concerned (not overly worried, though) that Aaron struggled the first half. It was not just his accuracy throwing on some tough passes wehre he could not really get set, but even throwing to the WR behind the line of scrimmage Aaron threw the ball short. That's not like him.

But his play in the second half was outstanding. 11 for 13 is a great stat line, but his throws on the run were what impressed me: tight and accurate. He made some tough throws look so, so easy.

I would like to point out one thought I've had a few times since the game ended: Aaron's play seemed to improve quite a bit after Bulaga came into the game for Cliffy. I'm not sure if that is coincidence, or indicative of something.

Hmm, I'll try and keep my eye on him when I watch the game on tape. I do remember him being late getting to the ballcarrier on at least one play. Barnett has always been one of those ILBs who can go sideline-to-sideline, and I would hate for him to lose that ability.

Was he black or white?

Definitely white. I would have assumed he was a backup quarterback based on his build, but we suited up both our quarterbacks. Was he a reserve lineman?

What stood out is that I saw the killer instinct that you didn't see last week. The Packers scored in the fourth quarter and they made key plays in the fourth quarter. That defines a team IMO. Certainly, the second quarter was terrible, but the second half more than made up for it.

With that said, running game needs work. Just one game, but late in the year, they can't run like that and win in Green Bay or bad weather.

Our competition thus far skews that statistic quite a bit, Vick running around and the Bills refusing to pass the ball.

BY THE NUMBERS

233 Net passing yards the Packers have allowed in their first two games, the fewest in team post-merger (after 1969) history.

152.7 Quarterback Aaron Rodgers' passer rating in the second half.

80 Sacks the defense is on pace to get this season, which would break the 1984 Chicago Bears' all-time single season mark of 72.

6 Kickoff returns Jordy Nelson has of 20 or more yards, which would put him on pace for 48. The Packers had 34 last season.

67.8 Opponent's passer rating against the defense this year.

Surprised to see no mention of Sam Shields. He made a few good plays, especially the one stopping the guy short on 3rd down. But I've caught him sleeping a few times by not taking his eyes off his man, failing to see that it's a run play and not a pass play. Of course, I think the reason was probably because he was afraid of getting burned for a big pass play.
