I'm fine with not keeping many RBs. It gets to a point where picking someone off the street is as good a shot as anyone else. I think the quality of players we had at that level of depth for RB/FB/TE dictated who and how many we kept. If you want to call that a problem with bringing in the right players in the first place then fine, but once they are evaluated I'd rather keep the better players. I understand your opinions about Fbs and TEs, I just don't agree. What we can agree on is that I hope beyond hope that Brandon Jackson can be a player.

I expect him to improve with his decision making as he gets more consistent reps in the next few weeks. I think 4.2 ypc with very few carries for loss, plus he will be a MAJOR screen weapon as he is now our every down back (defenders won't expect it as much). I'm excited for him. He was on my list of "Players I want the Packers to draft" that year. Of course, I also wanted M. Lynch...

i highly doubt that :physassult: i understood, what you ment, though ;)

i expect, if he plays 16 games without a featured back, +1200 yds rushing, but few tds. kuhn will be the guy, who gets the goalline and short yardage carries.

I agree with those that say their main concern is Jackson staying healthy. If he stays healthy I believe he is enough of a threat to keep opposing teams honest. That is the first most important thing IMO. But I'm thinking he can do a little better, say 800-1000 yards. That coupled with his pass catching ability and blocking ability could make him nearly as effective as Grant, as long as he doesn't fumble.
Why is Jerry Kramer not in the Hall of Fame?

As has been stated, Jackson's injury history makes me a little iffy on him. That said I do want to give him a few weeks to see his "the guy" abilities. His last "the guy" experience was his rookie season when he couldn't even pick up a third down blitz, so we'll see.

500-700
4 TDs

I'll go with 1,000-1,200 yards and 7 TDs. Similar to Grant. He's almost as good as Grant, and may get even more carries than Grant did, considering that now there isn't anyone as good as, um, Brandon Jackson to come off the bench on third down.

I think he may stay healthy this year more so than years past,He did the little things to stay healthy and upright plus he said he's gotten stronger. Those little things he does may be the key to keeping him healthy.I don't want him to get hurt And I think you guys pray for him to stay healthy as well.

Oh don't get me wrong, Finley. I really don't want him to get hurt. For one, he's a person and I wince any time anyone gets hurt. For another, he's a Packer. And another, big drop off if he does get hurt and we'll end up trading away someone I might like to get a replacement.

I used to be a big fan of Najeh Davenport. We all knew he wouldn't finish a season either. I think the only time he did was '03 if I remember correctly.

As others have said, if he stays healthy, I think he will do well.

Barring injury, I don't expect there to be any drop off in the production that we would have gotten from Grant. I've always said you guys have underrated Brandon and I expect him to prove that to you. I actually wouldn't be all that surprised if he puts up better numbers because he can actually catch a ball. He'll probably put up pretty decent numbers in a ppr league.
