What worries me is Jackson has yet to play an entire season. So I'm saying 500-750 yards then we make a deal with the Bills for Lynch.

Don't mean to be negative. I'm a Historian (not a Doctor), and you know what they say about history...

Honestly, I expect him to do very well. If he stays healthy, 1200+ yards and 10 TDs.

I have little in terms of what he can give us upon the field.. although I am not enamored with him as some, I have seen him be productive when given the rock.

My question is can he carry the load as a one without a two to rotate him out often? And if we find out that we can't, then we are at a position of disadvantage in making a deal for another back with NFL experience.

I think us carrying 3 FB's and 4 TE's is starting to catch up with us.. I understand it.. just doesn't seem to be a luxury a team with SB aspirations can afford.

I've been saying this is stupid for awhile now. FB is the most useless position in the NFL, by far. You can get away with having 1 FB, or I wouldn't be surprised if some teams have 0.

We don't use our TEs as much as our WRs. A 4th TE is questionable as well.

RBs get injured. Of all the positions in the NFL with a short life span, RB is either near the top or at the top. That's just a cold hard fact of the NFL.

I used to tell my favorite Niner friend "don't get attached to Running Backs." He's a huge fan of Gore, which I am too, but RBs have short careers. You need backup RBs. That's just how the game goes.

Thus is why I'm saying 500-750 yards. Jackson has a history of not finishing the season. Kuhn his only backup? You gotta be kidding me.

Now, we can still win the SB and my prediction to win it all stands. I'm guessing by the end of the season, neither Jackson nor Kuhn will be our #1 RB.

1) Broncos plug and chugged backs for years that produced 1,000 yards, and our bastardized blocking scheme is supposed to be similar, thus I think BJack can be at least competent.

2) on that note, Indy has had some of the worst ranked running games for the last few years and obviously have been very succesful. The league seems to be drifting from a 1 rb-dependant league (as you suggest zombie), so I think if BJack can just put up 800-1000, the team will be fine.

I expect 90% of the production of Grant. Still the same blocking schemes and plays. Brandon tends to dance too much, wheras Grant did one cut and ran.

Brandon will probably fumble 5 times. The thing he does better is pass block, so I expect a few less sacks on Rodgers.

We'll survive this with Brandon, but if he gets injured, expect to become some other teams bitch in a trade scenario.

I mentioned earlier that I'm not changing my SB prediction for this year, regardless of who's back there. I would have preferred Grant though as he gets us consistently 1200+ yards and he doesn't fumble. Jackson is a drop, and guy #3 who will most likely be starter by the end of the year will be a further drop off. Guy #3 probably won't be Kuhn or Nance.

Would be smarter though if we had more RBs than FBs. That's what I'm getting at. And a 4th TE is a waste.

I hope I'm wrong. I hope Jackson finishes the season, including Playoffs, and kicks major buttocks.
