I noticed that the other time Crosby won this award was in his NFL debut, which was also a win over the Eagles. He kicked the game-winner in that one.

Crosby got off to a shaky start in training camp, but got better and better. I'm feeling better about his kicking this year than I did last year.

Were you in the chat on game day? That was my reasoning for being confident in him making it, lol. I said he holds true when it's the first game of the season and against the Eagles! :P

No, I was not in the chat. Jarrett Bush also had a great day against the Eagles in '07. He didn't do a lot in this game, but he didn't make any big mistakes either. I count that as a great day for Jarrett Bush.

Dude, we need to drop almost a million a year on a guy with concussions and fumbling problem, like NOW! We need improvement!

I don't care if he can return it to the 50 every time, he just looks too slow and he will never break one for a TD.

Hindsight's great.

Btw, is this all the confirmation that we need to call Jordy a good returner all of a sudden? I saw him run into a pile two times in the first half. Then he breaks one 50 yarder and that appears to be all the confirmation necessary.

You know who intercepted 3 passes in his career? Ahmad Carroll. He must've had some amazing cover and ballskills.

Bringing in Clifton Smith had a reason. Trying out Brandon Jackson at KR had a reason. Trying to get in Sam Shields, even though he fumbled every 2nd ball had a reason.

I hope it's no fluke and I'd love to see him break some more big ones, but I'm not expecting a whole lot more than a runback to the 18-24.

Jordy is fine returning kickoffs. His size and straight line speed serve him well there. He's an average kick returner, and that's good enough. He had some big holes to run through against the Eagles. I just hope we don't have to see him returning punts again, because he doesn't have the quickness or elusiveness for that job. Tramon Williams is much better at it.

The Packers coverage teams also did a great job, on both kickoffs and punts. I hope that continues.

You don't care if he returns it to the 50 every time? ... seriously?

So you would rather have Will Blackmon return it to the 23 every time over Nelson returning it to 28 every time? ...

Honest I don't get it.... who cares how he looks as long as gets the job done with in the rules? (as opposed to the way the Patriots and Reggie Bush have been getting the job done)
