Per a column in PFT and JSOnline......

Details not out yet, but CW has a contract extension. While they have apparently added two years to the remaining three, given his age, it is surely a means to sweeten his contract to compete with those of the top CBs in the league and spread the money out a bit.

I like teams that take care of their own proven performers. Way to go TT!!

On Woodson and his DPOY.. I damn near jumped through the radio this morning and ripped Mike and Mike (and Stink) for dissing Woodson..

Apparently they didn't pay attention to the impact Woodson had on the field... basing his award on stats alone.. what a couple of rubes.

Anyway.. locking up a veteran in an uncapped year is wise.. and our sage is Thompson.

The only stat that stands out for me with Revis is two holdouts in three years.

Revis is Sean Gilberts nephew or cousin...and apparently listens to everything he offers as to leveraging contracts. Remember...Gilbert lost a whole year with a holdout in Carolina previously.

I am glad we don't have guys like Revis on this team....me, me, me!!

Mike and Mike are punk ass bitches with their heads firmly in their asses.

Let's see...Revis takes out the opponent's top WR. So does Chuck...and blitzes effectively....and shoots gaps to stop running plays for little to no gain....and causes some of the most opportune fumbles I have ever witnessed...and flexes around the field to disguise coverages and schemes.....and leads without throwing money tantrums....and invests millions in a childrens' hospital in Ann Arbor.

Yeah...Revis is the guy!! Haha!

Woody may rack up some killer stats, but let's not forget that he may also be the best tackling CB in the NFL, something that Neon Deion (the best coverage CB I've ever watched) wasn't.

He's got the Defensive Player of the Year now. Let's get him a Ring to go with it. :thumbright:

This highlights the difference between a great cornerback and a great football player.

Woodson>Revis any goddamn day.
