You can hardly find a preaseason poll that doesn't pick the packers to win the North, contend for the SB, Rodgers winning the MVP, or Finley as the breakout POTY. In fact Gene Wojciechowski's article on ESPN this morning just had the packers as one of 3 16-0 candidates (along with NO, IND).
I'm assuming the team is mature enough to not let this get to their heads, but the hype still concerns me. IMO, the team looked even more infallible last preseason and look at the unforseen offensive line debacles and 4-4 start the team endured.
Since I live in VA, the popularity will mean I can watch fewer games out at noisy bars, and more from the comforts of my couch, but is there a down-side to this media man-crush on the team?
