Twould be nice to have an intimidating returner that puts some doubt on the other side each week. That kind of worry on top of our offense this year would be great....Now to clear up the space... RELEASE BUSH!!!!!!

Why would any of the people mentioned in reference to making space on the roster be cut before Nick McDonald?

McDonald is VERY athletic OG/C

That rings a bell. We were told Barbre was the most athletic linemen the coaches had ever seen. He was awful and thankfully has been cut.

I haven't seen much of McDonald play but I'm not sure he'd actually be claimed off waivers. Bedard might be a retard, but he's watched every snap of open practice this offseason plus all the games and he said yesterday that he thought McDonald wouldn't be claimed.

I'd have no problem cutting our 10th OL who will most likely be inactive all year for a dynamic returner who would be getting the ball every game.

@CliftonSmith22, Mate, we need you up in Titletown. There is a gaping hole in our return dept and you can be the guy to fill it. Come back!

Friggin' "mate", lol

He is gonna wind up in London as a goalie instead of Lambeau, lol
Totally funnin' ya....friggin' "mate", lol :tongue3:
You have GOT to be the 1st guy ever to ask someone to come "here to titletown"-implied, anyway, the here part, that prefaced the request with "mate"

NEXT TiME, go with "hey der!"... It will vastly improve the perceived legitimacy of your request, lol

This whole post is meant in total jest :tongue3: friggin' mate, lol

I would like this signing. It will be unfortunate if the Fins get him.

If not, I hope to see many fair catch punt returns this year! lol.

The human brain is notoriously bad at intuitively determining statistical significance. More often than not, our snap statistical conclusions turn out to be wrong. We see some spectacular injuries that occur on punt returns and they stick in our memory, so we conclude that returning punts must pose a significant risk to players. However, there are two elements to risk: probability and severity. It may well be that the severity of problems caused by punt returns is indeed great, but how high is the probability of those injuries occurring? If severity is high but probability is sufficiently low, risk management theory would say that the risk may very well be tolerable.

How do factor in the concept (statistically) that the opposing team sees real value in absolutely creaming your starting cornerback while he is as exposed as a sunrise to a rooster? :tongue3:

Here's an interesting test related to that, that I've found. Try and answer the questions given (anyone can play along here):

Enter the range (minimum and maximum) within which you are 90% certain the answer lies.

1. What is the average weight of the adult blue whale, in pounds?

2. In what year was the Mona Lisa painted by Leonardo da Vinci?

3. How many independent countries were there at the end of 2000?

4. What is the air distance, in miles, between Paris, France, and Sydney, Australia?

5. How many bones are in the human body?

6. How many total combatants were killed in World War I?

7. How many books were in the Library of Congress at the end of 2000?

8. How long, in miles, is the Amazon River?

9. How fast does the earth spin (miles per hour) at the equator?

10. How many transistors are in the Pentium III computer processor?
