The following 7 players are members of the Packer's practice squad:

QB Graham Harrell
LB Robert Francois
T Chris Campbell
LB Maurice Simpkins
S Anthony Levine
T Breno Giacomini
Wr WR Chastin West

The eighth player is unknown, however he was not a member of the team over the last month.

Source Kareen Copeland sports reporter for the Green Bay Press- Gazette in an Article entitled Note Book in PG's - Monday Sept. 8, 2010 edition

The 8th member of the Packer practice squad is RB James Johnson. Was with the Bengals.

If I had to guess the unknown player, probably a defensive linemen, especially since they said they'd probably bring Talley and Toribio (KC) back and neither are there.

A pretty weak bunch in my opinion.

Simkins was a Green Bay Blizzard player brought in half way through camp due to injuries. And he's 27! Not much upside there.

West looked inferior to Williams in my opinion, but what the heck do I know.

I'm glad we kept Breno after all the time we put into his development but it just shows all that 'interest' in him must have been luke warm if no team claimed him. The Vikings wanted him for their PS but none of the OL starved teams didn't pick him up.

I'd rather have a CB and a DL on there considering Justin's back could go any minute.

Question: Did the punter Bryan get signed by someone else?

I thought there was a report that GB promised they'd sign him to the PS if no one picked him up.

But I could be misremembering, or just remembering some agent's wishful thinking.

RB Johnson is the final practice squad member

By Rob Demovsky

As expected, the eighth member of the Packers practice squad is a running back.

Its James Johnson, a 5-foot-11, 207-pound first-year player out of Kansas State. But Johnson has been around hte NFL for a couple of years. He was an undrafted free agent signed by the Cincinnati Bengals in 2008. He played in four games for the Bengals in 2008 before he was released and then spent time on their practice squad in 2008 and 2009. He was back with the Bengals again this preseason. He will wear No. 39.

The last spot was surely going to go to a running back after GM Ted Thompson kept only two halfbacks Ryan Grant and Brandon Jackson on the roster.

Johnson is the only member of the eight-man squad that wasnt with the Packers in camp. The others are: T Chris Campbell, LB Robert Francois, T Breno Giacomini, QB Graham Harrell, S Anthony Levine, LB Maurice Simpkins and WR Chastin West.

Except for Graham Harrell and Robert Francois, those are not the players I would've expected to make the practice squad. Just goes to show how little I know about these bottom-tier players. Either that or Ted Thompson is a complete idiot. Yeah, that's it: Ted Thompson is a complete idiot.

Yep. Looks like Bryan is signing with Tampa Bay and will be a part of their 53-man roster. If this holds true, I'm very happy for him. I got this from Rob Demovsky's twitter account:

Source just told @PeteDougherty that P Chris Bryan will sign with Tampa Bay and be on their 53. More info coming at Packersnews.com/insiders

Mucky Tundra (30-Jan) : Who knows who they're interviewing? I mean, nobody knew about Hafley and then out of nowhere he was hired

Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Still HC positions available out there. I wonder if Hafley pops up for one
