We see problems, and Ted is not fixing them. We (i) could be wrong, but he has a history of getting teams highly functional without getting them over the top. I worry about that, and now I worry more, because I'm seeing more evidence of it.

Maybe we don't even have the problems I am worrying about, but if that is true, the Pack is hiding them well.

Jarrett Bush is still a big part of this team.

Watch some highlights. It is amazing how many "showcased" players are making a "play" against the Pack--It is almost always friggin' Bush in the pic....

Ted should be held to an extremely high standard by us. We had his back (mostly) here during that entire "fiasco".

I'm going back to my regularly scheduled bitching (unless Dhaze and his crotch-sniffers get involved, lol)

I don't like the last few days. I'll get back to you on that one...You guys are right. Our roster was perfect when we finished drafting, and none of the 682 players let go by the other teams could have helped us compared to the 20 we cut, because we are so notoriously smart as sconnies :thumbleft:

We thought we had two or three guys set for returning. You make it sound like top notch returners are a dime a damn dozen. If they were, every team would have one! How many are out there? A half dozen, to a dozen and they are all signed.

Packers thought they had something with Shields, maybe Starks, maybe Blackmon, maybe Chery but none of the panned out how they wanted.

I'm guessing Thompson's attitude at his press conference was a result of being majorly pissed at losing 5 of his players to waivers.

With draft picks/FA moves, you're often HOPING someone pans out in the NFL or on your team, it's more of a guessing game than people think, and although the 4 examples zero provided may not have panned out, consider that right now our two biggest complaints on this thread are losing a 4th string TE and not having a stable KR.

The Pack are likely the envy of the NFL that they aren't having this same discussion at QB (AZ/leinhart), RB (Redskins), WR (Queens), DL (Redskins again)...

The only really good return man --when you factor in shit like getting hurt doing it, imo--

Is Shields

He has one small liability....

The motherfucker can't catch.

Ted could have got the Steelers guy, for example, but is sitting on his hands...

This kind of shit makes people nervous (like 98)

...and me.

You guys are getting GB PC

98 was just generalized bitching.

Stefan Logan was claimed by the Lions, who I believe had a higher priority of waiver selection than us. That's Ted's fault?

I saw one report that said that GB had put in no waiver claims at all (I think it was on PFT).

I'm not criticizing, though. To be honest, I haven't seen a lot of waiver wire names that are that interesting. I wouldn't have made some different cuts/PS signings than he has done, but I'm not going to bitch about who he hasn't picked up since those cuts.

And besides, Foster's a better bitcher than I am.

Even if he has gone soft on his OL bitching.

I wasn't even thinking waiver claim. Shit, with our record, there was very little chance of getting anyone off waivers (priority-wise).

We COULD have jumped to the "head of the pack" by coming off a 7th rounder...

I'm done bitching about this. I am really hoping that Shields gets to a point where he can be trusted not to drop the ball.

He looks (to me) like he could have a major impact on our return game.

I find it frustrating.

HOPEFULLY permanently, Wade... (On the o-line bitching)

They fooled me last year at this time pretty good.

I thought they did not suck. What a sucker.

I am HOLDING MY BITCHING IN ABEYANCE, but you can BET I'll have a CLOSE EYE on Colledge, for example, lol

I think it's fixed, again. Like I said, what a sucker, lol

Damn.

Porter waived

By Greg A. Bedard

Green Bay - The Packers terminated the contract of RB Quinn Porter on Sunday, according to a list of Sunday's league transactions.

So, at least at this point, Porter will not be developed by the Packers. Porter did receive an injury settlement according to Saturday's transactions. So he could return sometime down the road.

On Sunday the Packers also officially terminated the contract of S Will Blackmon after he signed his injury settlement.

So Nelson kick return average was 11th in the NFL, and they have said they like Jackson maybe better there. So that should solve KR. The only question now is PR. But most teams have holes... it's hard to fill them all.
