we are quick to release, but slow as shit to bring anyone in that we need. Thanks Ted Thompson.

You have plenty to thank Ted Thompson for, and not sarcastically.

I love the crying for help with no suggestions on what to do. Do we just assume there are upgrades out there available and we can jump the waiver order to grab them?

"packer98" wrote:

Wow what league were you viewing during the cuts?? Not alot of upgrades but there were a few we could've attempted to get, but did not.

Anyone else surprised a Green Bay Blizzard player who was brought in half way through camp makes the PS?

Overall I think our PS looks pretty weak. West looked inferior to Williams and Dillon imo. I'm pleased we kept Breno and Campbell - OT prospects are hard to come by.

I would also have liked a CB on here and a DL in case Justin's back gives way.

Has WR Williams cleared waivers? I didn't think he would... and if he did I thought they would sign him to the PS.

I think they kept West over Dillon because they think West has more upside. West is a rookie.

I am surprised Simpkins is on the PS and not Joseph. When both of them were playing ILB at the same time Joseph got to Simpkins sideline before Simpkins could in coverage.

Some others jumped on ya for that one. I'm not gonna.

I wonder many times if Ted is asleep at the switch...

So do they. I'm a Ted guy, btw.

Hard to believe. Everything I've ever read about Thompson suggests that he's a workaholic and a very thorough kind of guy.

I don't know how some fans (I'm referring to packer98 here) can have such strong opinions about players who are on the margins of other team's rosters. It's hard enough for me to have strong opinions about some of our own guys, based on watching preseason games and getting secondhand information about how they are doing in practice.

Considering something like a quarter of our cuts are on other teams rosters right now, I'm not sure how many players that were cut would be worth losing one our 53.

Ted asleep at the switch ... wow ... astonishing claim there.

I don't get it either.......if they were cut by other teams, would they be an upgrade from what we already have?
Should he just sign some guys to make the fans feel better? Or should Ted Thompson actually make sure that whoever is out there WOULD be better then what we have.
To sign someone means he has to CUT someone that's already here. And if it won't be an improvement, why do it?
The guys here already have knowledge of the plays. A newbie would take time to learn the system. And again, unless it's a good upgrade, why would you do it?

The only really good return man --when you factor in shit like getting hurt doing it, imo--

Is Shields

He has one small liability....

The motherfucker can't catch.

Ted could have got the Steelers guy, for example, but is sitting on his hands...

This kind of shit makes people nervous (like 98)

...and me.

You guys are getting GB PC

98 was just generalized bitching.

hah ... not trying to argue, just not seeing the facts behind the claim, or even any evidence to support the claim.

Again, of the 22 that were cut, five or more have landed on someone elses 53. Do you mean to say we cut the wrong ones? I take that as we have a solid roster that others are coming in to pick up.

Also meaning, other teams probably don't have anyone that can help us, and if they did, we'd have entertained putting in a claim, however we did not put any claim on any player, per tt.
