Oh there is no doubt I personally am more concerned about Raji than Harrell.. as he will a larger cog in the defense. I am hoping that it is just the adjustment to playing inside full time.. but agreed.. he needs to turn it up as well.

But the point on Harrell is he was playing lower level talent, 2nd and 3rd stringers that he should have been dominating.. not getting cut cleanly or getting stood up and neutralized.

Now to be honest.. with the baby in Intensive Care as he left.. I lean a bit more to tossing out his struggles.. with the caveat that he plays balls out tonight. 😉

What a difference a week makes for Harrell.. played almost the entire night on their side of the LOS and was providing a push. Looked like the 4th or 5th best option on the defensive line last night.. and more importantly looked like a motivated player.

If he makes that a normal thing.. I will happily say I was wrong about Justin. Go for it Justin..

A quick update blurb on Justin Harrell-

Harrell hanging in: McCarthy said he has not received any indication that defensive tackle Justin Harrell wouldn't hold up over the course of a season.

"I think he is getting better as far as his strength levels through training camp," McCarthy said. "I think this is very normal for someone that has had a lower back injury. He looks to be getting stronger, and now that we have been in one-a-day practices and been off the training camp schedule, I think it has really helped him."
