Here is an interesting article about the most indispensable player on each team. It is unclear what they mean by indispensable but think they mean the best #2 on the team. Given this assumption, I notice they pick Woodson as our #2 as well as scouts Inc. Here is the article

In terms of last year I agree with this hands down. If I was going to forecast for this year, I am betting on Finley. It is funny for the Vikings that neither of them pick Brent.

Last time, I read one of these "indispensable" mean basically the MVP... but they were ruling out all QBs because lets face it the QB position would be picked WAY too much if they were allowed to be a choice.

Finley may have a huge year but the WRs and Lee could pick up most the slack if Finley went down.

If Woodson went down then the other team would just put the Packers in nickel with 3 or 4 WRs and they would be passing a lot and putting up a lot of points.

Yep. If Woodson goes down, especially with Harris being out, we're pretty much screwed. Even without Harris going down, Woodson is the person you want on a nr. 1 receiver, I don't know if Harris is still that played that can contain a Calvin Johnson or Chad Ocho Cinco.

The Vikes where horribly mediocre in pass defense before Allen came there. There's some coattail riding being done on the other side of that D-line. If he goes down, their entire pass defense is in shambles.

I like the Tommie Harris pick more than Chris Williams and I can't think of anyone for the Lions who's a better player and can pull this team better than Calvin Johnson.

This is an interesting article/thought/responses. Thanks for posting this Dyeah.

I agree with Beast. Rule out the QB's. It is too obvious.

When I look at something like this, I look at it as a looking glass into the depth chart. For the Packers last year one could obviously have been picked from the O Line. The first half of the season was a horror for Chico. Not this year.

Is this not really a choice of who is the worst number two on the depth chart? So. Take your pick. (according to CBS Sportsline depth chart.)

Offense:

TE Lee
LT Newhouse
LG Bulaga
C Spitz
RG Lang
RT Giacomini
WR Nelson
RB Jackson
FB Huhn

Defense

LDE Harrel
NT Toribo
RDE Neal
LOL Popinga
LIT Josheph
RIL Bishop
ROL Jones
LC Lee
FS Martin
SS Peprah
RC Underwood

Above is als a great look at what The Packers need to address from positional needs.

Mucky Tundra (3-Jun) : All the stuff I'm reading from Lions fans are pointing at his toe; he more or less has permanent turf toe in one of his big toes
