IDK if anyone has given him credit yet, but we have got to give it up for Mike McCarthy. He called a GREAT game. It was just brilliant how he moved the OLine to the right and had Flynn move to the right on that one play when they came on an all out blitz.

Also, I think Tim Masthay is our punter. He had a good night.

Morgan Burnett had a breakout game. I saw him make several tackles and he had 2 great passes defensed / the INT.

I'll have more later, but I'm in a hurry right now.

Thanks.

Ok, first and foremost....Rodgers IS an elite QB! TJ on the pre-game show saying he can't be elite until he "beats" Favre is horseshit....I'm sorry, since when did A-Rod play Defense and give Grandpa all day to find an open receiver?!

Rodgers to Finley will be as close to unstoppable as I can think of.

The RBs have to hang on to the damn ball already...last two weeks it's like trying to catch a greased pig out there. That said, we actually ran pretty well.

REALLY diggin' Zombo, for whatever role he's going to fill.

Also pretty high on Neal.

I was lulled into this false sense of security last preseason too, and look what happened, but I did like how the O-line can seemingly run AND pass block. We'll see when live rounds are being fired though.

Burnett made the job his to lose, even with a healthy Bigby.

Yes, Peyton is a tremendous PUSSY!

Oh, and Gruden calling Grant Dorsey Levens?!?!? Wish I would have been in the chat for THAT debacle!

Overall, a B+ for a preseason game.

+1 to Rain. Rodgers is cool. P Manning is a spoiled bitch. I imagine he'd have the same personality of that girl who plays Hannah Montana if I met them both in real life.

EDIT - I just read what Lambeau said and he gets a +1 as well.

You can't in its current state. You'd have to resize it down to 150 x 161 or smaller in order to use it as your avatar.

I hope Mike McCarthy drills it into these guys' heads that there is still a lot of work to do.

This team in the past, ( 2009 pre season, and the meaningless week 17 game vs Arizona last year) has not dealt with artificial success well.

We saw how flat they came out to start the season last year, and Charles Woodson said they went into the playoff game overconfident, based on their week 17 performance.

I have little doubt that the offense is going to be very productive this year, but I still have concerns about the defense, and obviously the special teams.

This team has been the victim of false bravado at times. I hope they've learned their lesson from last years reality checks.

Yeah, I'm worried about this too. Personally, you see the offense move better when they utilize the short passing game. In the first quarter, that wasn't the case. They were going deep often and the offense wasn't moving. I just hope the Packers know who they are and execute like a west coast offense team. If they buy into their own hype, then they'll take chances like they did last season. They need to stay humbled.

I smiled this morning when I read this.

I was imagining all the people in Indy leaning over their morning paper, sipping on coffee and digesting this article.

I watched the game again, and I have to say that it really was ridiculous how often the umpire was getting in the way of the Colts on offense. Officials should be as inconspicuous as possible. The NFL is good for at least one dumb idea every year, and this may be the dumbest.
