I guess I am old school (or just plain old.) I don't think there needs to be "A Sack Dance" after he does his job. Is it going to make he a better player? He didn't need to do a dance to get psyched up before he got the sack. Why does he need one after the sack? Will the fans cheer any less if he doesn't do some stupid move?
*Fan in the stands turns to the guy next to him and says, "HEY! I was going to cheer for CM3 busting Cutler's chops but he didn't do any dance afterward so F-em." * PFFFTT.

I hope Matthews worries more about learning the art of pass rushing more than a celebration after a sack.. dude lacks the arsenal of pass rushing techniques to become an every down pressure threat.. accomplish that first.. then worry about your "swerve".

To me.. I respect the guys that let the emotions flow unscripted more so than these new wave "dances"... heck I would rather him look so pissed off that you couldn't tell he was happy to get the sack.. that attitude on the field of one mean mother..

Well it looks like Matthews 2 minute tv interview has cost him yet again. He now has a "tweaked" hammy - most likely stemming from all of that time it took to announce his desire for a new "sack dance". Perhaps he should have spent those few precious minutes on a stationary bike and none of this would have happened!

No one would boo if he didn't celebrate. Does it mean that he's not a man if he wants to enjoy doing the most awesome thing in the world?

Edit: Haha, lol, by the most awesome thing I mean football... of course.

Actually it might make he a better player. Some players do a lot of things to get themselves pumped up.

sigh.

I'd rather he spent his time figuring out another way to get to the quarterback.

Sounds like he's been spending too much time hanging out with Nick Barnett.

I completely agree. Any time a player is show-boating, not to mention PLANNING on how to show-boat, it makes me nervous. We won't need a celebration to get into the QBs head, come on. I think driving his ass into the turf is cause enough for the QB to become shaken up. You play for a classy organization, show that you yourself are classy.

The guy is having fun. It isn't hurting anybody, so I don't know what all the concern is about. I wouldn't mind seeing another 10-12 celebrations on the field from him this season.

I'm all for sack celebrations. More importantly though, we have to get more sacks.

CM3 - Get double digit sacks again in '10 and you can celebrate any way you want. :thumbright:
