I was really afraid that Kaepernick would snap out of his funk and play decent against the Packers. I don't know if it is his own idea or the coaches, but it was a colossal mistake for him to stop running. Nobody but nobody as long as I can remember ran from the QB position as well as he does - certainly not Wilson, not Griffin, not Vick, not Randall Cunningham, not Steve Young, not Bobby Douglas, nobody. And he seemed sturdy enough not to get hurt like Griffin. Coincidentally (or not), when he stopped running, his throwing got worse. Sunday, he came out running a little bit, and I thought, "oh shit, it's gonna happen again", but we defensed it pretty well and he stopped doing it. Also, he didn't seem to have quite as much acceleration as he did those other times when he killed the Packers.
In general, I'd take Wilson over Kaepernick, but Kaepernick is downright scary when he runs, no doubt about it. I think he's also kinda a head case, and Clay was trying to exploit that.
