last year we had 2 records set

Ahman Green Franchise leader in rushing yards.

Donald Driver Franchise leader in receptions.

and barring injury Nick Barnett will be the franchise leader in tackles.

Ranks third in franchise annals (stat kept since 1975) with 986 career tackles, trailing only John Anderson (1,020) and Johnnie Gray (1,001).

what a record setting bunch we have.

He averaged a little over 5 a game last season and he needs 35 more. So basing it off those numbers he could break the record week 7 against the vikings.

Pretty much a meaningless record. The MLB almost always leads the team in tackles, and Barnett has played there awhile. And they did not count tackles in the stat line during Ray Nitschke's era.

Geez. Hate much? This record is at least a testament to his longevity and production. He still young as well. Statistically the best LBer we've had in 35 years. But lets not give him too much praise.

I'm sure over half the teams in our league would like to have Nick as their MLB.

Nick's OK in my book, he needs to improve his coverage like the rest of our LBs

his last INT was in 07' vs the Eggles i believe...

I wasn't hating on Nick. He's been a very good LB, and very durable. I am a Nick Barnett fan. The record is a testament to his longevity, but not so much his production, because if you play MLB you are going to get a lot of tackles, regardless of how good you are. Bernardo Harris got a lot of tackles too, when he started for the Packers, and he was possibly the slowest MLB in the league.

This is an important year for Barnett. If he doesn't improve his pass rushing skills and his coverage skills, he could be a liability not worth having in the 3-4 defense.

<----- this guy, Hawk as well.

They both need to improve in coverage, I feel too much blame is put on AJ when they both have been pretty meh IMO.

I do. I think he needs to be at leasy serviceable in pass coverage and rushing, just to keep the competition honest. And he's not there yet.
