So far this season I can think of about 2 hand fulls of deep balls, approximately. A few to Driver, Jennings, Nelson and I have yet to see one go for INC. We know that when Rodgers gets enough "time" he'll complete passes. He's really been bailing out the O-Line due to himself and having some great receivers. But I really can't believe how good he has been on the Deep Balls. Him and Jennings really have it going on IMO.

I just don't get it.. this is the same receiving corp and line as last year.. so maybe the receivers have been bailing out QB's in Green Bay for a while. ;)

Of course it takes two to tango.. so giving him props isn't out of the question..

We have talented receivers that is for sure but the guys flinging the football for the past two years definitely had just as much to do with it.

And your claiming he hasn't thrown an incomplete deep pass yet isn't as biased the other way? How about the ball he shortarmed to Jennings two weeks ago in the loss to the Falcons? Rodgers has played well and has shown great accuracy, but let's not hyperbolize it.

Here's the stats for this year:

Passes thrown 21-30 yds = 4 for 8
Passes thrown 31-40 yds = 1 for 3
Passes thrown 41+ yds = 3 for 4

That's from ESPN.com.

The pass to Jennings in this game for the TD reminded me of the Favre to Jennings pass vs. KC last year, except into a smaller window (tighter coverage), 5 yards longer, and with a hurt shoulder.

So I'll tweak Roddy's statement a bit and say Rodgers' playing makes him look better than he really is. 😉

Amen to that. I'm amazed teams continue to try to single cover Jennings when it's clear he can get open and Rodgers can put the ball on the money deep.

Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : Oo just saw a blurb saying that Dallas negotiated directly with Parsons and not through his agent

Zero2Cool (1-Aug) : McLaurin nor Micah going anywhere. They will get money
