Note of course that this is for Fantasy, meaning who is going to put up better numbers, not who is the best QB.

http://sports.yahoo.com/fantasy/nfl/news?slug=ys-expertpoll-pre10-qb

Aaron Rodgers listed as preseason favorite to put up the best numbers in 2010 for QBs.

I can see that. I like Brees but think Rodgers will put up better numbers. Why? Our OL was holding him back last year. With Cliffy and Tausch both back and with Buluga in there if one of them goes down, we should see a more stable OL.

Yes, Brees will put up the numbers. I'm not arguing that. He'll have another marvelous season. It's just Rodgers will put up more.

My WTF moment comes with Romo over Favre? You gotta be kidding. Favre will put up better numbers than Romo as the Cows have some locker room issues to address that may reach the field and Favre will be coming back to the same team except for Chester Taylor.

My wild card pick would be Alex Smith. Nobody is expecting anything from him, but him and Crabtree started to hit it off in the 2nd half of the year and Vernon Davis is one of the league's better TEs. Plus Frank Gore is one of the better receiving RBs. He won't be top 5, but I wouldn't be surprised to see him as high as #12 or even #11 in fantasy points for QBs.

In both leagues that I had him in.. yes.. I completely concur that he was the most valuable player in the league.. bar none.

The running back tandem the cowboys have and the receivers ... plus of course their TE ... yes, Romo will score more fantasy points than Favre on the Vikings. Well, should anyhow, lol.

Rodgers was #1 in fantasy points for a QB last year and I don't see a reason why he won't repeat this year as our OL will improve. Brees was #2 and I think Brees will repeat as #2. Favre was #3. I just don't see him falling behind Romo.

Hatred for Vikings aside, how is Romo going to pass up Favre in fantasy points in '10? Keep in mind both P Manning and Schaub beat out Romo last year in fantasy points. Romo was #6.

If anything, Favre may slip behind P Manning ('10 could go either way between Favre and P Manning), but Romo isn't going to pass them both.

lol my hatred towards the Cowboys is not one to be understated bud.

It's fun to rip on the Vikings because we house a few of their, ahem, "fans" here.

I would rather see Brett (one of my two all time favorite players) do well in purple than see Romo do well in a Cowboys uniform.

I have this feeling Brett won't be able to duplicate his fantastic statistical season of '09 in '10 because the team surrounding him won't be on the same level. I also think his ankle is going to inhibit his statistical markers as well.

I think the Cowboys have a better RB stable, WR stable and TE than the Vikings as well as a better OL and an offense that is more downfield.

I think if Brett and Romo flipped teams, Brett would then have substantially better stats.

Brett does well in the WCO because it's what he knows the best and it suits his age the best. Quick release, short routes with the occasional deep ball.

My hatred for the 'Boys is simple as heck.. Jerry Jones and his handling of Tom Landry. From there I have little use for that pile of dung.

I've done stat projections for fantasy and Rodgers comes out No. 1 for me as well. His rushing numbers make the difference.

most likely because of the amount of rushing TD's he had.

I agree with Twinkiegorilla.

well my prediction for #1 qb this year is Brady, he gets the NFC North that will boost his stats to be huge lol and throw in the Bills and Dolphins twice and to top it off the Brownies. I see a huge huge year.
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

Zero2Cool (23-Jan) : Fake news. Cowboys say no

beast (23-Jan) : I wonder why the Jets always hire defensive coaches to be head coach
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Still HC positions available out there. I wonder if Hafley pops up for one
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Trent Baalke is out as the Jaguars GM.
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Jeff Hafley would have been a better choice, fortunately they don't know that. Someone will figure that out next off season
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Aaron Glenn Planning To Take Jets HC Job

Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Thank you. I rarely get sick, and even more rarely sick to the point I can't work.
wpr (22-Jan) : Beast- back to yesterday, I CAN say OSU your have been Michigan IF the odds of making the playoffs were more urgent.
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Glad to hear you are feeling a bit better.
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : I've been near death ill last several days, finally feel less dead and site issues.
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : It is a big deal. This host is having issues. It's frustrating.
Martha Careful (22-Jan) : just kidding...it was down
Martha Careful (22-Jan) : you were blocked yesterday, due to a a recalcitrant demeanor yesterday in the penalty box for a recalcitrant demeanor
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Was that site shutdown on your end or mine? No big deal, just curious
beast (21-Jan) : That way teams like Indiana and SMU don't make the conference championships by simply avoiding all the other good teams in their own confere
beast (21-Jan) : Also, with these "Super Conferences" instead of a single conference champion, have 4 teams make a Conference playoffs.
beast (21-Jan) : Also in college football, is a bye week a good or bad thing?
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : The tournament format was fine. Seeding could use some work.
beast (21-Jan) : You can't assume Ohio State would of won the Michigan game...
beast (21-Jan) : Rankings were 1) Oregon 2) Georgia 3) Texas 4) Penn State 5) Notre Dame 6) Ohio State, none of the rest mattered
wpr (21-Jan) : Texas, ND and OSU would have been fighting for the final 2 slots.
wpr (21-Jan) : Oregon and Georgia were locks. Without the luxury of extra playoff berths, Ohios St would have been more focused on Michigan game.
wpr (21-Jan) : Zero, no. If there were only 4 teams Ohio State would have been one of them. Boise St and ASU would not have been selected.
Zero2Cool (21-Jan) : So that was 7 vs 8, that means in BCS they never would made it?
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : A great game. Give ND credit for coming back, although I am please with the outcome.
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : FG to make it academic
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : and there's the dagger
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : ooooo 8 point game with 4 minutes to go!
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : ooooooooohhhhhh he missed!
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Ooooo that completion makes things VERY interesting
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Game not over yet
beast (21-Jan) : Oh yeah, Georgia starting quarterback season ending elbow injury
beast (21-Jan) : Sadly something happened to Georgia... they should be playing in this game against Ohio State
beast (21-Jan) : I thought Ohio State and Texas were both better than Notre Dame & Penn State
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Notre Lame getting rolled
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : Ohio State just got punched in the gut. Lets see how they respond
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Notre Lame vs the Luckeyes, bleh
