As a Packer oldtimer, I tend to think of Forrest Gregg as the greatest tackle ever.
But if I'm being honest, I think Jones was better.
All the pretty boys and slick car salesmen get all the press. But the world runs because of people like Walter Jones.
Enjoy your retirement, big guy. And you might as well make your reservations for a Canton hotel five years from now. It'll be one of the easiest decisions the HOF electors ever make.

This is going to sound weird, but there are two kinds of Hall of Famers: The regular kind, and the Hall of Famer among Hall of Famers.
Most in the Hall are the first kind. Kramer is that kind. A few, a very select few, in the Hall should have a special category: Jim Brown; Don Hutson; Vince Lombardi. Jones is that kind.
No way he doesnt go in on the first ballot.
