I've always hated both teams Dungy's coached but I always had a little bit of me pulling for them cause of him. To me he would probably my first choice for a coach I'd like to play for. There probably is no greater father figure in the NFL to the players and you just have to ask any players to prove it. I thought I couldn't respect him anymore until I read his book last year. I kno he's only won one ring and doesn't do all the things people think a coach needs to do but he's proved you can be a winner without being a dictator and making the players fear you. Sometimes it's easy to think all that matters is football but you just have to read Dungy's book to really see what's important. I for one wish him the best of luck in whatever he does :thumbleft:

I liked him as a coach. It's a shame he's already retiring. Kinda like Madden in a way.

This great movie's on NFL.com, watched it earlier on. Love Sabol's work and this one's another masterpiece about Dungy's carreer.

Shame to see him retire. He was a great coach. Always liked him even when he coached the Bucs. Best of luck to him in his future endeavors.

I haven't read his book, but I always liked him. When he was DC at Minnesota, he used to do guest spots on Sporting News radio, and he was pretty candid in talking about the NFL--very unusual for a coach. Smart guy, and he always seemed like a very decent man as well.

Dungy will be a face and person missed by the entire NFL. I have a lot of respect for him and what he has accomplished. Good luck to him in his future.

Maybe if we are lucky and he will be back in the future. I wonder if he would be considered for a GM position. He seems to have the head on his shoulders that would work well for GM somewhere.

Heh. Exactly how I feel. I hate the Colts. Hate them. But always had a soft spot for Dungy. I think he's a good guy and a good coach.

wpr (23-Jul) : I thought so Mucky. In those useless player polls GB always rates high overall. Locker is a part of it.
