UTEP and Minny both in and Minny will basically have a home game playing in Milwaukee

Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

Filling in these brackets makes me realize just how little I know about these teams. Lol.

All I know is that Duke made an impression on me last year. Even though they didn't make it that far.

I like were the Badgers fell. They should be able to get to the Sweet Sixteen, but I don't see them advancing farther.

Looking at the brackets now (well, the West bracket were our teams are), I can see our teams making the first round.. but after that.. It'll be tough, lets just say that much. Good luck to UTEP.. Too bad there isn't any chance of our teams meeting in the Final Four.. I guess the Elite Eight will have to do. =)

They totally did. But, hey, Minny deserved it more.. They had to knock out 2 of the 3 regular season co-champions to make it to the final game. It probably would have been easier on the committee though if MN met IL in the Championship game, though. The winner is in, the loser goes NIT.

So which match-ups/potential match-ups is everyone looking forward to?

Aside from the UTEP/Butler game, here are the other games I have my eyes on:

-Duke/Louisville would be an interesting match-up in the second round. It would be the first time Mike Krzyzewski and Rick Pitino faced each other in the NCAA Tournament since their epic match-up in 1992.

Possible upsets I see:

(12) Utah ST. over (5) Texas A&M

(7) BYU over (2) Kansas St. (likely 2nd round game)

The only chance I see a 8/9 seed knocking of a #1, would be (9)Northern Iowa over Kansas. Yeah, its a stretch, but N. Iowa has the #2 ranked defense in the country, allowing only 54.3 points per game. And they are an experienced team.
