I disagree that everyone was saying he was a liar or laughing as all things he's said were things I felt were obvious in nature.

I'd like to focus on topic instead of whether it's valid or not. I mentioned I wanted to know the remaining years of Woodson's contract before passing judgment.

Nick and Charles are friends. I don't think Charles is upset with Nick's contract, especially knowing Charles has said Nick should be locked up long term. With that said, I believe Charles DOES want his contract redone has he has outperformed the latter years of his deal.

In short, I'm thinking Charles wants his deal re-done and I believe it should be, as he should be a top 3 or top 5 paid CB if not the top paid CB in the league.

I wonder how many more years Chuck has left in him.

He's at the top of his game now. In theory he could be a serviceable nickel back/safety for quite some time.

But there is a reason not many 32 year old CBs with 2 years left on their deals get extensions.

British - Hard to say. Woody looks like he hasn't lost a step. Driver I think lost a step last year, and that's at the age of 34. Both of them have impeccable work ethics, but the human body has its limitations. That's just part of life.

Deion Sanders retired at 33 and at the time, hadn't lost a step. He returned 4 years later and by then, he lost a few steps but realistically, his two lost steps were still better than any other nickelback in the NFL. At 37, he was still sick.

I think Sanders is a bad comparison though as Sanders had freakish speed. A better comparison would be to someone like Driver or Jerry Rice. Geez, Rice started declining in his early 40s. NOBODY though works out as hard as Rice, and I really mean nobody.

I'm guessing at 34 years of age this year, Woody will be 100%. I don't see a drop off this year but with age, you have to go year by year.

It doesn't make sense that he would be upset with Collins getting a big deal, I do hope that we lock him up long term.

Wouldnt you be upset if a fairly new coworker made more than you when you do more than that employee?

If your honest you would say yes

that is the question and how a place runs..and what they feel is the right way to deal with players...Sometimes you cant compare nfl to regular jobs, sometimes you can..

Point---I was at my 1st real job over 14 years...Was TRAINING my future brother in law on a press...he could only run one press at the time I ran 3 and another machine...

Turns out he quits but he let it be known what he was making by placing his final paycheck on a bulletin board.

Needless to say he was making more then most of us including me..that was a flaw in that companies system where his immediate supervisor went to bat for him where as mine and others didnt..

Wasnt right at all that he made more, and most of us let the bosses know..

I ended up quitting as well..

Do you think Chuck thinks of himself as being in his "latter years" right now? He's the reigning Defensive Player of The Year. He probably thinks he has plenty of outstanding football left in him, whether he really does or not.

I'm not sure Collins has much to do with it or not. Who cares. He probably DOES think he's due for a raise, or at least a nice fat bonus, though.

I know for a fact he does. How? He's said it himself that he doesn't have many more years to obtain that elusive championship ring and doesn't want any opportunity missed.

Yes, he does feel he has several years of outstanding play left him in.

I don't think Collins contract has much to do with Woodson wanting his redone. I think I've said that about four times though, lol.
