Fellas, there isn't a brawl happening... just was told what I posted. The one player won't see that 30M unless he can get them to change the terms of his deal and move it to bonus (IMO).

The tender is just that a tender... he won't play 2010 at 3M not with what Rolle is getting in NY. He will at least get what Rolle got and probably more for this coming year. This is of course me speculating.

Just a little light football discussion in March... nothing major.

And by the way... players talk to each other about their deals trust me he knows just what someone else gets and what everyone else in the league at his position makes. His agent is paid to know and tell him. That's part of negotiating and leverage.

That last part, good point. Collins and Woodson are buds off the field.

I get ya on what you said ... but as I said I'm more interested in the specifics of the last years of Woodson's contract before I get worried.

I think Kevin's point is that the sample size is very small and we're not seeing the whole picture.

I will say this... Sandman has hit the things he has called...

I think the sample size might be small because we are a information tight ball club.

Personally I don't get the grudge against his information.. let it do the talking for itself.. each to there own.

So I'm still confused. Sandman is saying Collins will get around $6M per, and Wood will make over $8M per, according to Zero. But Wood thinks $6M is too much for Collins? Is that right? lol. Sorry if this is obvious to everyone but me, it's been a day, let me tell ya.

Chuck set to earn 7.5 this year, but not a guarantee

His base is 6.5

Packers | Woodson reached contract escalator for next season
Mon, 08 Feb 2010 19:19:24 -0800

Pete Dougherty, of the Green Bay Press-Gazette, reports Green Bay Packers CB Charles Woodson earned a substantial contract escalator for 2010. Woodson earned an escalator of $1.5 million, raising his 2010 base salary to $6.5 million.

He is due a $900,000 roster bonus and a $100,000 workout bonus, meaning Woodson is scheduled to earn $7.5 million next season.

Well... if Collins signs... he is going to get the bulk of his bonus this year.. which will make his deal worth much more in 2010... so I can see the possibility.. but it would be short sighted on Charles part.. because he got his bonus front loaded too...

Might be chirping to get it redone and some of the potential money converted to a bonus this season.

The base salary for Collins might be six million as speculated and that's reasonable, but with a workout bonus, Collins' salary could escalate to 7.5 million, which would equal Woodson's as pointed out. Obviously, Woodson probably deserves to be paid more than Collins, which is maybe why he's upset. I wouldn't put him in the Javon Walker category though.

I don't think it's a big deal. Woodson isn't going anywhere and Green Bay can easily add a few more years to his deal and front load the money to where he's making over 8 million a year. It's an uncapped year remember.

First they have to get a deal done for Collins though and probably Pickett next. That fact it's close is IMO a good thing assuming the info is correct, which I have no reason to doubt based on previous posts of Sandman's.
