Check this out:

"Brees (23-30-369, 4 TDs) vs. E. Manning (14-31-178, 1 TD, 1 Int.)

Brees (18-23-317, 5 TDs) vs. Brady (21-36-237, 2 Int.)

Brees (23-32-247, 3 TDs) vs. Warner (17-26-205, 1 Int.)

Brees (17-31-197, 3 TDs) vs. Favre (28-46-310, 1 TD, 2 Int.)

Brees (32-39-288, 2 TDs) vs. P. Manning (31-45-333, 1 TD, 1 Int.)

Brees played five games against these elite quarterbacks, each of whom has won at least one Super Bowl. Brady has won three.

In these five games, Brees threw 17 TD passes.

In these five games, Brees did not throw an interception."

Its also an interesting article about how Manning pretty much gets a pass for his 9-9 playoff record. Manning's interesting because I wonder if he will eventually get the same backlash from fans/media as Favre for the rest of the media loving him too much. I watched the SB with friends that had no alliance to either team and everyone was cheering against Manning because they're sick of hearing about him.

Great QB though, maybe the "smartest" ever? Because talent wise, he doesn't look very athletic, lol.

This is exactly what was irking me last week about the media hype... they fawned over Manning so damn hard that they lost sight on just how well Brees has played over the past couple of years.

I found myself cheering greatly against Manning yesterday.. and it was no fault of his making.... much like the last couple of years of Montana.. I cringed at having to watch the broadcasts due to the nausating praise directed their way.. Favre in the later years with the Packers was no different.. get off your knees and understand they are human like the rest of us.

Lol, I don't think you will get an argument out of anyone that Eli Manning is a legend. I think they just included him in there because he has won a SB, so those were his stats against players that have won a SB in the NFL.

Nice.

OK, I'll say it now as this will be a bar argument 5 years from now - Drew Brees is better than Peyton Manning. Yes, I've said it.

I've always said Tom Brady is better and is the best PLAYER of the 00s. Manning can rack up stats unlike no other, but he chokes repeatedly in big games.

People refer to Favre as a choker but let's compare Playoff records between the two. Let's also compare SB stats. Let's be real - Manning won a SB because of Wrecks Grossman. He didn't play it outstandingly. Wrecks Grossman handed the Colts the game. Don't believe me? Then watch the game again. That game was da Bears' to lose.

I also love how the media loves to make excuses for Manning. They blamed his WR for that bad pass. Come on. The WR didn't put a gun to his head and tell him to throw it exactly where the Safety could jump on it.

Brees has been spectacular and you can make pretty good arguments that the past 2 Manning MVPs should have gone to Brees.

Back to Brady, no, I don't like Brady as a person. We're talking football skills only. He's 14-4 in Playoffs. Like Joe Montana lite, Brady gets better in the Playoffs. We should be seeing Brees in at least one more SB in his career and possibly two or three more. He may be the best QB today, despite the media slurping on P Manning.

As a Packer, Favre was 12-10 in the playoffs, i believe. So adding last season's 1-1 makes him 13-11 overall.
Not exactly "great" numbers.
1-1 in the Super Bowl
2-3 in NFC title games.

I honestly don't know what Peyton Manning's stats are playoff wise.

Pretty close to Favre's numbers then. Both winning and losing a SB.

Thanks for the info Non!

I also find it funny that all the years Manning loses it's cause he has such a bad team and it's everyones elses fault and yet when they won the SB he had 3td's against 7 int's for a 70 rating and yet the all you hear is how he led them to victory. I just wish other guys then the QB's got their credit
