dd80forever, I thought you would at least be impressed by the Favre-like interception that Rodgers threw in the fourth quarter today. That was definitely not a game-manager play!

Its Aaron's first year, quit dwelling on the bad things. He has a coaching staff, and they are professionals, He will get better at the things he does wrong(holding the ball, checking off WAAY too early).

Considering he is 4th in the NFL for yards right now I don't see how that is a game manager. Not to meantion his 9 TDs to 4 INTs.

Rodgers has 6 more plays for 20 yards or more then Farve and 2 more for 40+.

About the only thing Favre has more of are TD's and that's mostly thanks to the break down by the Cards letting him get 6.

I think It's alot to ask Rodgers right now to bail the team out from a defeicit every game, he needs more then a year of starting experiance.

I would also think that the INSANE amount of injuries we have right now is also a change from last year not just the QB position. Can anyone honestly say the tackles and veteran players like Kampman are doing their job well right now? Heck no. We also have lost Jenkins. That is freaking major man. It is pretty difficult to play hero not only for the game but on every single drive.

That all said. This is the beginning of the second quarter but if the team is not 500 after the middle of the season the concerns will be amplified greatly if we cannot keep in line with the Bears. The Bears are playing really well by the way (as are the Falcons). No team is "lowly" because of the previous year. This is a new football season. The Dolphins beat the Chargers and how do you think they feel right now.

Three losses in a row though is not a good thing though obviously. If we make it four in a row that really makes me rethink the playoff implications of this year. We shall see.

That's true, Zero. And this isn't directed at you, but too many people are quick to protect him on this board and say "3 TDs can't blame him". Well, sorry, but if the INT comes with the team trailing by three and allows the opponent to put the game out of reach then he does have to shoulder some of the blame. 3 TDs and 1 INT looks like a great line, but when that INT came in the 4th quarter of a close game it becomes a much larger mistake than a bad pass in the first quarter.

Lowly falcons who have 1st rushing offense... lol nice

I have said time and time again, Rodgers holds the ball too long.

BUT I also understand this little tidbit, he's NOT Brett Favre and he will NEVER be him. Get over it, learn to accept life has changes.

I've said that I thought Rodgers would be a game manager BEFORE I seen him start a game, however, watching some of his throws. Gosh, those are not throws a game manager makes man. Some of those were daring, borderling stupid passes... but most of them worked out for us.

My advice to you is remove your Favre goggles and try to view the Packers as a team, not a one man, one trick pony.

I think we returned 20 of 22 starters. Brett and Corey Williams? The thing about that is now teams have 18 games of tape to STUDY us and find our weaknesses. We're simply not making proper adjustments and doing what WE do best, better.

Also, last season we had a long of things just fall our way. Our defense bailed us out a lot, as did the experience that Brett Favre had.

Open your eyes my friend!! 🙂 It's not the end of the world and if anyone thought we'd match our 13 wins this season, they were lying to you. Even if we had Brett, we wouldn't have won that many games. That's my opinion.

How many times was Brett Favre picked off when playing from behind??? Geez, Aaron Rodgers has exceeded many people's expectations. He did have that int but later with only a few minutes left in the game, didn't he lead the team down the field for a quick TD to pull us within 3? It is so easy to point to the negatives, but AR impressed me playing with a bum shoulder.

I hear you man. It's hard on me big time reading this garbage. I love Brett, he's my favorite QB and 2nd favorite player of all time. I also like what I've seen in Rodgers and he's ON my favorite team, the Packers.

Now we have all this whining about 'oh if it was favre the headlines would be favre threw the game away' wahh wahh. If anything that's because Favre HAS a proven record of SOMETHING. Rodgers does NOT have a proven record of ANYTHING.

Yet, lets waste the interwebz hard drive with all this arguing over Brett/Aaron.

Where were you earlier in the season? Let me guess, you were "busy"

Now that we have lost some games, you are able to get on and bash Rodgers and the front offices.

AR has to get some of the blame, but not all..Case in point...

what did the defense do on the very 1st drive?

and then when the Falcons were pinned at the 10 yard line?

But to create threads solely on why AR cost us the game is just asinine to me

If that is how its going to be, then those same people need to make one for the INT BF tossed in the NFCG game

But not lot of people blamed BF for that loss now did they :thumbleft:

Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : Yes, and that is why I think Rob worded it how he did. Rather than say "agent"
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Same laws apply. Agent must present such an offer to Jaire. Cannot accept or reject without presenting it
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : I'm thinking that is why Rob worded it how he did.
dfosterf (16-Apr) : The Packers can certainly still make the offer to the agent
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Laws of agency and definition of fiduciary responsibility
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Jaire is open to a reduced contract without Jaire's permission
dfosterf (16-Apr) : The agent would arguably violate the law if he were to tell the Packers
