I actually don't find Palin attractive. Even before she opens her mouth to reveal her ditzy voice, her face is too gaunt and angular. I can never decide if she's in her purging phase or if she's just had too much cosmetic surgery.

i'm amazed that anyone who calls themselves a conservative republican can actually like palin. she cost mccain & your party the election. she's a completely ill-informed, unprepared idiot. i remember my mom thought she was GREAT when she spoke at the convention UNTIL she was interviewed by the media...now my mom doesn't say much about palin. lol.
and don't worry, veg - i don't read newspapers & rarely watch the news. i actually research people.

I know .......Palin wasn't a "fancy speaker". Some seem to think that if you don't say "big words" that somehow means you are stupid.
Look at Obama........talks VERY fancy. Yet hasn't done SQUAT. (At least nothing positive).
Hillary Clinton......fancy speaker. But would destroy our freedom with her leftist leanings.
Maybe that's why Obama and Hillary can't fly together. Would make the plane turn in left circles so tightly, that it would screw itself into the ground before even getting off the ground.
I don't know.....i like freedom. I DON"T like socialism.

Please tell me you're not buying that rhetoric. Listen, you can't support the party that's trying to shut down any move Obama makes, and then complain that he hasn't done anything. That's like shooting out the tires of a car and then saying, "See? That person can't drive for shit. They're all over the road."

This pretty much sums up Sarah Palin...

While suturing a cut on the hand of a 75-year-old Texas rancher whose hand was caught in a gate while working cattle, the doctor struck up a conversation with the old man. Eventually the topic got around to Sarah Palin and her bid to be a heartbeat away from being President.

The old rancher said, "Well, ya know, Palin is a post turtle..." Not being familiar with the term, the doctor asked him what a 'post turtle' was.

The old rancher said, "When you're driving down a country road and you come across a fence post with a turtle balanced on top, that's a post turtle."

The old rancher saw the puzzled look on the doctor's face, so he continued to explain: "You know she didn't get up there by herself, she doesn't belong up there, she doesn't know what to do while she's up there, and you just gotta wonder what kind of dumb ass put her up there to begin with!"

exactly, vikes. she should never have been put in the position - that's mccain's fault. i don't care if she's a good speaker or not - if you don't know geography or politics, you shouldn't pretend that you do. she holds herself up as something she just simply isn't. i don't know whether to feel sorry for her or not but i do know that i completely dismiss her opinions on any given subject.

I like the "post turtle" imagery.

But if Sarah Palin is a post turtle, the American people have been electing one put-turtles-on-post person after another for decades.

What does that make us?

Who's the bigger disaster?
1. The post turtle.
2. People who put turtles on posts.
3. People who give keep giving money, power, and attention to people who put turtles on posts?

Or, to put it another way. Do people seriously think electing bimbos like Palin -- heck, lets go all the way and elect Paris Hilton and Jessica Simpson -- can yield significantly worse results than Congress and the President have yielded over the last few decades?

(Actually, I don't think Palin is a bimbo. But if she were, that would IMO make her a wiser choice.)
