UNhappy L.T.

In a radio interview Monday, Chargers RB LaDainian Tomlinson made three things perfectly clear (everything else was up for interpretation):

One, he wasnt happy playing for the Chargers last season.
Two, he wants to return to San Diego, the place he has called home since being drafted in 2002.
Three, if he does return to the Chargers, it wont come at a reduced rate.

Alright, I heard about this (there was more to it) on Mike and Mike this morning. I don't take everything they say to heart on that show, but this sounded like L.T. after I had watched his "Vizio Profile" way back.

The guy is a family man and a true football player. Mike and Mike put it perfectly when they said L.T. is upset because it seems more players are carrying brief cases into the locker room than gym/duffle bags (hope you get the point).

I like him a lot and say what you want about his past performance, but he was coming off injury, his o-line blows at run blocking, and Norv turned the Bolts into a passing-first team, which limited his carries and production. In the end, I hope he ends up somewhere and begins picking it up again.

My view, Chargers don't meet his "needs" and he ends up with the New York Jets. LaDanian Tomlinson and Shonn Greene. Just my view since he wants a championship.

We don't really need a HB ... LT = big contract in which Ted Thompson would be against. We got Grant a 1000 yard rusher. Defense more important this season and o-line.

Grant will get more yards than LT in '10.

Anyone want to say otherwise and lose $100? OK, gambling is illegal. I mean in principle.

Hey Zero is there any way to stop "Packers Finland" (Tuomas) from reading this thread

He would have multiple orgasms if he even thought LT would play for the Pack.

Chat during gameday would implode due to the man love!!!!!!!!!

Too late... I think LT should take a pay cut and stay with the Chargers though, he will only tarnish his image by playing somewhere else, and not on the level he used to.

If he's not going to take a paycut, he'll go down the Shaun Alexander road. He most likely thinks that he can still play, end up as a 3rd string RB on some roster, get a rushing attempt or 10, mostly near the goalline, as he can still plunge it in and will be totally out of a job the year after.

I can't imagine that any team would sign him for any reason besides his name. Especially if he wants big money, he'll be out of a job for quite a while.

Yeah, I posted it in NFL Discussion because I don't want him to be talked about coming to the Packers because that is more unrealistic than Merriman coming here.

I think he still has gas left in the tank though and would succeed somewhere with a good offensive line (why I mentioned the Jets) and with a running back countering his running style (why I mentioned the Jets, Shonne Greene).

I like Tomlinson because he is one of those "players" left in the league. He still carries a duffle bag into the locker room, although...with this article it seems like money is the issue but he isn't asking for more, just saying he won't take a cut.

He's finished. I hope he has the prideto just say good bye. It's sad to watch him fall all over himself and get knocked to the ground on first contact EVERY time. Just sad.

Color me as a guy that would answer the phone if he would be open to a incentive based fair contract.. because if he is cut loose from SD he is going to be an angry runner..

Are his days past.. probably... but so where Ahman Green's and he was a welcomed addition to the club.

Right deal... certainly... looking for big money, which is reality.. pass please.

Much like his teammate on defense... team favored prove it deal.. great.. anything else.. pass.

beast (24-Jan) : Either the Cowboys have no idea what they're doing, or they're targeting their former OC, currently the Eagles OC
Zero2Cool (23-Jan) : Fake news. Cowboys say no
Zero2Cool (23-Jan) : Mystery candidate in the Cowboys head coaching search believed to be Packers ST Coordinator Rich Bisaccia.
beast (23-Jan) : Also why do both NYC teams have absolutely horrible OL for over a decade?
beast (23-Jan) : I wonder why the Jets always hire defensive coaches to be head coach
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Still HC positions available out there. I wonder if Hafley pops up for one
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Trent Baalke is out as the Jaguars GM.
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Jeff Hafley would have been a better choice, fortunately they don't know that. Someone will figure that out next off season
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Aaron Glenn Planning To Take Jets HC Job
    dfosterf (22-Jan) : Martha- C'est mon boulot! 😁

Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Thank you. I rarely get sick, and even more rarely sick to the point I can't work.
wpr (22-Jan) : Beast- back to yesterday, I CAN say OSU your have been Michigan IF the odds of making the playoffs were more urgent.
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Glad to hear you are feeling a bit better.
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : I've been near death ill last several days, finally feel less dead and site issues.
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : It is a big deal. This host is having issues. It's frustrating.
Martha Careful (22-Jan) : just kidding...it was down
Martha Careful (22-Jan) : you were blocked yesterday, due to a a recalcitrant demeanor yesterday in the penalty box for a recalcitrant demeanor
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Was that site shutdown on your end or mine? No big deal, just curious
beast (21-Jan) : That way teams like Indiana and SMU don't make the conference championships by simply avoiding all the other good teams in their own confere
beast (21-Jan) : Also, with these "Super Conferences" instead of a single conference champion, have 4 teams make a Conference playoffs.
beast (21-Jan) : Also in college football, is a bye week a good or bad thing?
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : The tournament format was fine. Seeding could use some work.
beast (21-Jan) : You can't assume Ohio State would of won the Michigan game...
beast (21-Jan) : Rankings were 1) Oregon 2) Georgia 3) Texas 4) Penn State 5) Notre Dame 6) Ohio State, none of the rest mattered
wpr (21-Jan) : Texas, ND and OSU would have been fighting for the final 2 slots.
wpr (21-Jan) : Oregon and Georgia were locks. Without the luxury of extra playoff berths, Ohios St would have been more focused on Michigan game.
wpr (21-Jan) : Zero, no. If there were only 4 teams Ohio State would have been one of them. Boise St and ASU would not have been selected.
Zero2Cool (21-Jan) : So that was 7 vs 8, that means in BCS they never would made it?
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : A great game. Give ND credit for coming back, although I am please with the outcome.
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : FG to make it academic
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : and there's the dagger
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : ooooo 8 point game with 4 minutes to go!
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : ooooooooohhhhhh he missed!
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Ooooo that completion makes things VERY interesting
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Game not over yet
beast (21-Jan) : Oh yeah, Georgia starting quarterback season ending elbow injury
beast (21-Jan) : Sadly something happened to Georgia... they should be playing in this game against Ohio State
beast (21-Jan) : I thought Ohio State and Texas were both better than Notre Dame & Penn State
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Notre Lame getting rolled
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : Ohio State just got punched in the gut. Lets see how they respond
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Notre Lame vs the Luckeyes, bleh
