This hurts. This sucks.

How is it possible that BRAD Childress has built a better team than TT/MM. Mike McCarthy got outcoached, plain and simple. [edit, before people get all over me, I don't mean Childress is the GM, I have just read he has a lot of say in Personnel (i.e. Favre was clearly him)]

Vikings lost Winfield and they didn't collapse, their DBs sucked big time but they still won. A few injuries isn't going to destroy them.

The penalties on us, those are inexcusable. I didn't see ONE penalty that we did not deserve, thats on coaching.

We didn't win AND had no turnovers. And the Vikings had that stupid fumble on the KR and the botched snap. And we STILL lost by 12 points. Its pathetic

Well at least we're 4-3 and still have 9 games to go and WC is still very possible. But right now this HURTS. To watch someone come in here and embarass us like that, 4 TD's, HE'S FORTY YEARS OLD!

Honestly if i was Ted Thompson and MM, I'd be so happy about those whole Favre thing, it takes the focus off on their real problems. They should actually pray to god everyday and thank him or her for the Favre thing.

Edit, I'm sure I will calm down tomorrow but right now this just plain hurts.

Season is clearly over. Everyone burn the house down.

I know it hurts you guys now, but I don't think it is time to give up on McCarthy or the team just yet. Looking at Rodgers I think they did the right thing at QB and you guys have a keeper there. They are building through the draft and you have a great core of players.

The Vikings OTOH have a great team now and some great talent, but IMO that will be a short lived pleasure for us fans as they have spent most of the future salary allocations on FA's and they are going to find it hard to re ink guys when their contracts come up.

You guys got beat by a more talented team, not by a better coached team. The one thing that your front office should have done was to take some of the money they saved by not having #4 and spent it on some quality OL depth. Rodgers may have a short career if they don't figure out how to protect him.

Anyways don't hang your heads too low, your team will be back on top soon.

Hopefully this is gracious enough in victory for you.

It's appreciated. And expected from you.

You're right, but like you said, it's just that it kind off hurts right now.

If we didn't play like complete jack-asses at the beginning, this game might've even been better. Had my blood pressure up to 140 over 100 or something already, lol.

EDIT: Sounds somewhat bitchy, but it was meant as a compliment. Lol.

It was a good game but we dugg ourselves into a huge hole too early. When Rodgers is getting sacked 5+ times a game isn't gonna win us anything.

The Packers have a very talented team and I would say that you are correct, there difference between MIN and GB is the Line play so far. The Packers lost BOTH of their KR, so who knows what may have happened if we had Jordy Nelson returning.

The Packers need to get better on the lines....end of story.

I would be curious to see the Packers' home record throughout McCarthy's tenure. I would guess it's barely above .500.

Good post, RedSoxExcel. It was a crummy loss. Most of it looked like a replay of the first game. This time the comeback effort was more serious, as they actually had the ball with a chance to take the lead at one point, but other than that, it was like watching the first game all over again. I knew they were in trouble when they failed to hit the Vikings in the mouth early, when they had the chance.

Somehow I don't think McCarthy and Thompson are happy about the Favre thing. On the contrary, the Favre thing is what makes the 4-3 record (while the Vikes are 7-1 with Favre) look a lot worse than it would otherwise. But it's over now, and we move on from here.

Yeah, that's been a problem since the Sherman era. Homefield means nothing to the Packers. It hasn't meant anything since 2002.

Martha Careful (10-May) : 1. this is true of all our linemen. 2. His run block is fine. 3. If all OL played like he has, we would win SB.
beast (10-May) : Meyers pass blocking is really good, his run blocking is really not.
Zero2Cool (9-May) : Packers have claimed DE Spencer Waege off of waivers from the 49ers and waived DT Rodney Mathews.
Zero2Cool (9-May) : And the OL protections seem to be good.
    Zero2Cool (9-May) : I really don't know lol. I don't see him getting blown up.

Martha Careful (9-May) : I am not sure I understand the Myers hate. He was consistently our third best lineman. RG and LT were worse.
beast (9-May) : Just saying I don't think moving Myers would help Myers.
beast (9-May) : Center is usually considered the easiest position physically if you can handle the snap stuff.
Mucky Tundra (8-May) : Bust it is then
    Zero2Cool (8-May) : Context. Sounds like Myers won't be cross-trained. C or bust.
Mucky Tundra (8-May) : @BookOfEli_NFL Packers pass game coordinator, Jason Vrable said that Jayden Reed and Dontayvion Wicks shared a placed in Florida while train
Mucky Tundra (8-May) : For now...
Zero2Cool (8-May) : Packers go about evaluating their "best five," OL coach Luke Butkus makes on thing clear: "Josh Myers is our center."
beast (8-May) : Though I'm a bit surprised letting go of CBs, I thought we needed more not less
beast (8-May) : It was confusing with two DB Anthony Johnson anyways
Zero2Cool (8-May) : Packers actually had Ray Lewis on the phone.

dfosterf (2-May) : The number on Love is going to be brutal.
Zero2Cool (2-May) : May 3rd. Extension day for Jordan Love. (soonest)
Zero2Cool (1-May) : USFL MVP QB Alex McGough moved to WR. So that's why no WR drafted!
earthquake (1-May) : Packers draft starters at safety ever few years. Collins, Clinton-Dix, Savage
beast (1-May) : Why can't the rookies be a day 1 starter? Especially when we grabbed 3 of them at the position
dfosterf (1-May) : Not going to be shocked if Gilmore goes to the Lions.
dfosterf (1-May) : I hear you dhazer, but my guess would be Gilmore Colts and Howard Vikings from what little has been reported.
Mucky Tundra (30-Apr) : S learn from McKinney who learns from Hafley who learns from the fans. Guaranteed Super Bowl
    Zero2Cool (30-Apr) : could*
Zero2Cool (29-Apr) : Safeties should learn from Xavier.
dhazer (29-Apr) : And what about grabbing a Gilmore or Howard at CB ? Those are all Free Agents left
dhazer (29-Apr) : out of curiosity do they try and sign Simmons or Hyde to let these young safeties learn from, they can't be day 1 starters.
    Zero2Cool (29-Apr) : I miss having Sam Shields.
Zero2Cool (29-Apr) : Not that he's making excuses, just pointing it out
Zero2Cool (29-Apr) : That's for dang sure. Make our erratic kicker have no excuse!
packerfanoutwest (28-Apr) : having a great long snapper is gold
Zero2Cool (28-Apr) : LaFleur looking like he had some weight. Coachin will do that lol
