At the risk of being redundant, the offensive line needs to stay on the field as one unit as much as possible. Its the same reason Mike McCarthy wanted to get his starting line settled as early as possible. The more they work together they better they play, the more they switch players in and out, the less effective they are.

I think there is a reason no team in the NFL rotates OL like some teams rotate DL.... and that reason isn't because no one has thought about it and isn't because no one is good at coaching it....

If a linemen is dead tired then maybe that linemen should take a breather... but I don't think it's a good idea to do it for all of them.

Conventional wisdom states that it is much more difficult and exhausting to play on the defensive line than the offensive line, because it's the offensive line doing all the pushing. You often hear about defenses wearing down toward the end of games; I can't remember ever hearing a commentator talking about an offense doing the same. In other words, I don't think there's as much of a need for offensive lines to be rotated.

The offensive line did a great job with the ones last night so rotating doesn't seem to be an option. You want the same guys out there for communication purposes and they can get in a better rhythm as a whole. It doesn't sound like a lot, but it certainly makes a difference.
