Here are four separate blurbs on this kid. You're telling me that he didn't get drafted because of the heart condition paper not getting around to teams like he claimed?

Based on his size, athleticism, and potential, Hubbard looks like a top 75 player but has the opportunity to improve his draft stock dramatically this year. The more he grows into his body, the better he gets at using it, improving his instincts and technique, Hubbard could be a scary player. For what he was able to do at Alabama last year, he seemed to be just scratching the surface and he appears able to be the most talented pass rusher Saban has had since arriving in Tuscaloosa with continued work. If and when the light goes on for Hubbard, he could dominate in college football and become a first round pick.

Alabama linebacker Adrian Hubbard plans to leave the Crimson Tide a year early for the NFL, according to a source. Hubbard, an imposing 6-foot-5, 252-pound linebacker who recorded 31 tackles and three sacks in 12 games, has notified the team of his intentions. CBS Sports draft analyst Rob Rang projects Hubbard as a top-two-round pick.

Hubbard could have returned to Alabama for a senior season, but his draft projection from the NFL Advisory Board shows him as a potential first- or second-round pick, so he made himself eligible for the draft in May.

Here's Hubbard in his own words in JSO: bama outside linebacker Adrian Hubbard, one of the best players not to be selected in the National Football League draft, blamed his snub on a minor heart abnormality for which he has been cleared.

Hubbard flew to Green Bay Sunday afternoon after agreeing to terms on a free-agent contract with the Packers shortly after the draft concluded Saturday.

"I didn't know it could be a problem because we had all the issues fixed," Hubbard said. "I think the big problem was somehow, some way the papers didn't get to all the teams. But, oh well."

Hubbard said he had been cleared by Charles Brown, chief medical officer at Piedmont Heart Institute in Atlanta and the Falcons' cardiologist since 1992.

"My heart's big because I'm big," said Hubbard, who indicated it was discovered on his EKG at the combine. "There's nothing wrong with it at all. This is more than 85% of the league. Dr. Brown looked at me and cleared me."

He was carrying papers from Brown for the Packers' medical staff. He must pass a physical before officially joining the team.

"It's going to pass," Hubbard said. "Not too much worry. I'm fine. I've been playing in the worst conditions the last four years in the heat of Alabama. I've been playing sports my whole life. I'll be OK.

"Situations happen. I wasn't drafted. I'll have to go a different route. Teams don't want to take risks. They don't want to write off on people."

----So, we're to believe that one of the most conservative organizations in the NFL decided to "sign off" on him while the rest of the league didn't? The rest of the league was clueless that he was fine medically? Not hard to get that figured out if you're interested in bringing the guy into your franchise. It makes NO sense that other teams didn't know he wasn't okay and just decided to pass on him due to that but he had the paper proving it, it just never got around to all the teams? Sounds like a major excuse and someone trying to save face who can't believe he didn't get drafted. Blaming it on something that isn't valid. It makes more sense that he's a headcase like Nawrocki said and people didn't want that in their room.

Here's another interesting bit on Hubbard: This was before he declared for the draft in 2014.

Matt Miller ‏@nfldraftscout Jun 5
Kyle Van Noy, Anthony Barr, Adrian Hubbard and Jonathan Brown are four OLBs in my preseason top 15 for next year's draft. So much talent.

---- To think we may have added the same guy, perhaps, better, than the Vikings did with their 8th pick is something to get excited about. Can't wait to see.

Since his heart is good, there is little reason to think he won't make it with the Packers. Bring on the pre-season.

Oh, and here's a few more: Kevin Weidl ‏@KevinW_ESPN 4 Dec 2012
Bama SLB Adrian Hubbard has the length + athleticism to be big time. Versatility is impressive and produced in multiple roles vs. Georgia.

Matt Miller ‏@nfldraftscout 11 Dec 2012
Re-watching Alabama/LSU this morning, and OLB Adrian Hubbard really stands out every time. RS Soph, unlikely to declare, but wow.

Pete Prisco ‏@PriscoCBS 5 Apr 2013
Also, Adrian Hubbard is a good football player

Mark Schlabach ‏@Mark_Schlabach 19 Jul 2012
Saban said he's not sure if #Bama LB Adrian Hubbard will play Sam or Jack. "He's been most productive when he's rushing." Future star. #Tide

Dane Brugler ‏@dpbrugler 17 Jul 2012
Can't wait to see new #Alabama SAM LB Adrian Hubbard in the fall - hearing a lot of buzz...only a rSO

-----then there's this from the Senior Bowl: from NFL.com

Buzz-kill
» Alabama OLB Adrian Hubbard: After watching Hubbard closely this week, I believe he might be a man without a true position at the next level.

Although Hubbard has played outside linebacker in Alabama's 3-4 system, he isn't a dynamic pass rusher nor an explosive athlete in coverage. I've been surprised at his marginal first-step quickness and his lack of nuance with his pass-rush technique. Hubbard doesn't overwhelm blockers with outstanding speed and quickness. In addition, he also lacks the power to forklift opponents despite his exceptional length (6-6, 252 pounds).

An AFC South scout called Hubbard a "jack of all trades, but a master of none." For a player expected to be one of the headliners of the 2014 draft class, Hubbard's performance at the Senior Bowl has produced more questions than answers at this point.

"Wasn't it you who posted the blurb from Walter Football saying Bama didn't seem interested in having him come back for his senior season?"

You do realize this is the same Walterfootball that projected him to be drafted between the 3rd and 5th round, right?

Maybe because he could play some you think?

Saban is the biggest meat churner in college football. If a player rubs his huge ego the wrong way he's got a line of 5 star recruits to pull from. If they make it great...if not no skin off his ass.

Always another side to every story as they say.

Are you for real? Have you not read about this guy? Why didn't he get drafted? You're going with he had a heart condition but teams didn't know if he was really okay because they didn't get a "paper" as Hubbard claims?

What would you like me to produce? Nolan Nawrocki ripped the guy... Bama was said not to want him back (based on Walter blurb)...you figure it out. Just because he's a Packer doesn't mean he may not be a problem child. I hope he's not... As I said... enough smoke for me to believe there's a fire.

Nothing.

Nawrocki is a blogger. Who the fuck cares what he says besides you?

And, please show me anything that states Alabama didn't want Hubbard back. Anything.

It's not exactly like they are a pro team and cut him. Did they rescind his scholarship or something? Hell no.
Again. You've got nothing.

Did you watch a single interview that I posted with him? Does anything in there make him sound like he is anything close to a "problem child" or a "head case." Again, I think that is wrong. Not cool.

Put up or shut up with that shit man!

You can believe what you like. You have nothing that says he isn't a problem child but some puff pieces that were done to counteract the damage done by Nawrocki. So, who should we believe? It's funny you act like I have no reason to share the opinion I've shared, yet, I could say the exact same thing you do, but it's nowhere near as important to me as it is to you.
