If I'm not mistaken, we led the NFL in yards per attempt last year. We don't do Tom Brady dump off passes that much and hardly even look at RBs as receivers. A lot of our passes are medium to long range. If anything, we're more like a Mike Martz offense without the stubbornness/stupidity and with A LOT more mobility. Martz's QBs rarely left the pocket but you'll see 🇦🇷 leave the pocket often.

So yes, we're a little bit of anything. But you can still generalize what our patterns are like. WCO only makes up a fraction of our play executions.

Our offensive style needs superior route runners who can also burn CBs deep. Driver, Gregorious, Jordy, and Jones all fit the billing. Cobb is a work in progress.

Driver has fallen off the map a little bit because he has lost a step. Notice he doesn't get as many deep routes. However, he still gets looked at when 🇦🇷 is in trouble. He had 6 TD catches last year and if I'm not mistaken, all of them were in the red zone.

As a team, we had an incredible 9.3 Yards per Attempt. That's HUGE. I haven't checked, but I'm pretty sure that's either #1 or in the top 2 at the least.

Jordy Nelson had an 18.6 average, which is very high nowadays. Jones had 16.7 and Gregorious 14.2. All three of them had receptions 70 yards or longer. Driver's longest was only 35, showing that he's not looked at so much for deeper passes any more.

Now if you want to compare that to the last year we were WCO, that would be 2007. We had 7.3 yards per attempt. Our leading receivers back then were Driver with 12.8 ypr and a long of 47. Gregorious had a 17.4 ypr with a long of 82, which if I remember correctly was a catch and run and NOT a deep throw. And James Jones had a 14.4 average and a 79 yard TD reception (Jones was our deep threat that year as we know, Favre liked to throw the deep ball).

Plus of course, Favre's WCO loved TEs and both Lee and Franks were targets, especially in the red zone.

So you see the difference in the numbers. We're NOT WCO and it's only a fraction of our play execution. 🇲🇲's and 🇦🇷's offense favors the medium range ball with occasional deep shots down the field. Whenever you see 🇦🇷 roll one way or another, he's gonna set up the big one. If that receiver's not open, he'll "dump it off" to a medium range receiver in which there will be 2+ of them. There may or may not be a short range receiver. 🇦🇷 has the confidence in his ability that if none of those receivers are open, he'll just take off.
