When the team fights and plays a clean game and comes up short. It happens and I can accept that. When the Packers trip over themselves and shoot themselves in the foot in a game I think they could have easily won by double digits? That shit burns deep.

Special Teams spot the enemy 7 right out of the gate. Yeah, Nixon recovered it and officials missed it, but KEEP YOUR HANDS ON THE BALL and don't let the officials impact the damn game!

Defense
They played a damn good game. I really think Cooper and Williams have a bright future. It's said and I agree that it takes three years for guys, but damn Lukas Van Ness seems like he's only a champion in the weight room. I haven't seen enough from 90 to feel encouraged about 2025. I'd like us to find an upgrade over Quay Walker at LB and add some depth at CB. I think Jaire Alexander might be done as an elite CB in this league.

Offense
They basically jizzed all over themselves. Josh Jacobs is a real damn good asset to this offense! Jordan Love is starting to really concern me. That deep ball interception to Dontayvion Wicks was under thrown. He had a TD if he gets more on it. My hope is that there's injuries affecting him that we're not privy to.

I think we need to add a veteran WR and veteran OL. Jenkins is the only good OL we have. The next tier would be Tom. And then the rest are just pieces.

I fear Doubs career might be over. And Watson was healthy for most of the year, but that ACL is gonna have him out until probably October. So, adding a veteran WR will be good.

Special Teams
Brandon McManus has been pretty damn good all season. That missed 38 yarder really stung though. I hope he's back for 2025.

The Packers were the youngest NFL team in 2023 and 2024. If Xavier McKinney and Josh Jacobs showed us anything, it's that adding veteran leadership is a huge positive.

After assessing the tape, LaFleur pointed to a lack of details within routes and a lack of ball placement for why the interceptions happened, and credited veteran cornerback Darius Slay for making an incredible play on the first pick.

On the first play of the second quarter, Love threw a go-ball to Dontayvion Wicks, but Wicks failed to successfully “stack” Slay down the field, Love threw the ball a little too far inside and Slay made a veteran move to get into position and made the difficult catch.

“The pick that Slay had. That was a heck of a play,” LaFleur said Tuesday. “You want to talk about the little details. We had an opportunity to stack him. Yeah, the ball was a little inside. But we have to make sure we stack in that situation. That was a great job by (Slay) grabbing his wrist, sling-shotting himself, and he made a hell of a catch.”

Wicks gained separation off the ball against Slay on a vertical route but wasn’t able to “stack” — which leverages the coverage player behind the receiver and creates a better throwing window for the quarterback. Slay was able to win the leverage battle and beat Wicks to the football.

packerfanoutwest (13m) : NFL wants the lions to win,,,so rigged
Mucky Tundra (15m) : Why take the ball out of Daniels hands on 4th down in favor of Mariota?
Zero2Cool (49m) : Atlanta Falcons have announced Jeff Ulbrich as their next defensive coordinator
Mucky Tundra (1h) : 6 missed FGs and 2 XPs on the year; 2 missed FGs and 1 XP this game
Zero2Cool (1h) : Sounds like Texans got a kicker issue.
Mucky Tundra (1h) : Well the Chiefs couldn't capitalize so I spoke too soon
Mucky Tundra (1h) : And that's probably the game there
Mucky Tundra (1h) : missed FG+XP looming large with the Texans down 8 atm
Mucky Tundra (2h) : Fairbairn with a missed FG and XP for Houston already
Mucky Tundra (2h) : NFL posted the Orens hit as a highlight on Twitter; deleted now. Really sums things up.
Martha Careful (2h) : watching both the Kansas City and Houston pass rush makes me glad we fired our defensive line coach
Martha Careful (2h) : this was not our year… especially from New York
Zero2Cool (2h) : It's not like there was a plethora of games distracting New York from calling in the penalty
TheKanataThrilla (3h) : A little salt in the wound to fine Burks now
Zero2Cool (3h) : Bears interview Adam Stenavich for HC
Zero2Cool (3h) : Oren Burks fined $8,333 for unnecessary roughness on Nixon hit that caused fumble
Mucky Tundra (3h) : if it's gonna happen here, it'll be the Texans pass rush making Mahomes miserable
Mucky Tundra (3h) : There's usually a road upset win in the divisional round
Martha Careful (4h) : I don't see it happening but I would sure love to see Houston pull the upset here
Mucky Tundra (4h) : *rebuffed
Mucky Tundra (4h) : Bears coaching search in trouble? Bears reached out to the Steelers about trading for Mike Tomlin and rebuffes per Schefter
Mucky Tundra (5h) : This is one of the reasons I find the MNF wildcard games annoying
Martha Careful (5h) : Beast, your is a very strong point...for a change 😊😊😊
beast (6h) : More consistent with their time and rest between games.
beast (6h) : I think all the AFC games should be on Saturday and all the NFC should be on Sunday (maybe reverse the order every year), to more consistent
Martha Careful (7h) : Don't you think teams with the byes should play Sunday? It is fairer to opponents to give an additional day. instead of short week.
beast (17-Jan) : You have a point, it's a very wise move, therefore, that can't be what the Jets are doing.
Zero2Cool (17-Jan) : It'd be a wise move.
beast (17-Jan) : I think Jets are just killing time, and picking up information as they wait for their guy to get done with the playoffs.

Zero2Cool (16-Jan) : Jets wanna interview Jeff Hafley for their HC spot. W. T. F.

beast (15-Jan) : So Hurts didn't take many, if any risks, and wasn't throwing into Cover 2, which I think helped the Packers. Where a more aggressive QB o
beast (15-Jan) : Cover 2, keep a CB and Safety over top of both WRs... and Hurts (like Rodgers) is overly careful and doesn't like any risk in his throws.
joepacker (15-Jan) : new to this maybe question n wrong place?
joepacker (15-Jan) : how did the packers mostly shut down the eagles passin attack and specifically how did they manage such a good job on aj brown?
Zero2Cool (15-Jan) : Per his dad
Zero2Cool (15-Jan) : Watson to have his surgery soon, and should be back around Week 12, with a normal rehab.
beast (15-Jan) : More likely to listen if the guy controlling the ball is the one telling them
beast (15-Jan) : Apparently because players aren't doing the small things when the coaches tell them, and LaFleur believes they're more likely
Zero2Cool (15-Jan) : Jordan isn't a vocal guy. Why not let him lead his way?
Zero2Cool (15-Jan) : I'm not sure it ever bodes well when you have to tell your team leader to be more vocal.
Zero2Cool (15-Jan) : CFL. Nice.
packerfanoutwest (15-Jan) : good luck with that
packerfanoutwest (15-Jan) : Matt LaFleur looking for Jordan Love to be more of a vocal leader
civic (14-Jan) : I’m old enough to remember watching him play in the CFL
civic (14-Jan) : Clements is taking a lot of experience and knowledge out the door with him
