There was no tape on this guy. He was a place kicker in college down in Arkansas. National media types keep saying he hasn't kicked field goals since high school. That is wrong also, he didn't kick field goals there either, according to him. I watched an interview of him about a month ago. Rich B. very obviously referenced this kid just the other day in his press conference when he was speaking of looking at other leagues for potential kickers for the upcoming year. This guy is in the running for UFL mvp. The hype as characterized here in this discussion is league wide amongst the fan bases of virtually every team that are in need of a kicker, certainly not just Dhazer posting the video he posted here. The fact that the Texans let him go (13 days,) and he cleared waivers is virtually meaningless at this point from any source I have read, as they all attribute it to a lack of tape. The consensus presently is that he will be going to the Lions, but nobody can talk to him until the UFL season is over. He did miss 2 field goals last week. One from 58 yards and one from 62 yards. In high winds. His only 2 misses this year. Of course this week, he made all 5 field goals, one of which was from 60 yards. He did have one blocked this year, but the rushing team brought 12 men and roughed him on the play, so he got a do over and made that one as well. Many many people know this story I'm telling here, certainly every front office in the NFL, but apparently not here. I sense real trouble if the Lions do get this guy.
