Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

Looks like he was in camp with the Texans last August but didn't make the cut.

Face it, in order to kick the ball over 50 years the kick has to start off low and gain altitude. That means the DL has a much greater chance to jump and block the ball. The NFL has athletes that can get off the ground. Not so much in the USFL or whatever league this kid is in.

I look no further than this thread itself to actually see that this kid we are talking about here actually looks more promising in many ways than even Aubrey. Sporting News thinks as many as 25 NFL teams are going to be clamoring for his services. In a Fargo kinda way, let me just say I'm not 100% sure I agree with your police work, there, Lou. Shootin for humor, here at the end...

I know it's romantic to imagine a YouTube hype video has discovered an amazing talent that all 32 teams already missed. And maybe it has, but I am tempering my expectations.

There was no tape on this guy. He was a place kicker in college down in Arkansas. National media types keep saying he hasn't kicked field goals since high school. That is wrong also, he didn't kick field goals there either, according to him. I watched an interview of him about a month ago. Rich B. very obviously referenced this kid just the other day in his press conference when he was speaking of looking at other leagues for potential kickers for the upcoming year. This guy is in the running for UFL mvp. The hype as characterized here in this discussion is league wide amongst the fan bases of virtually every team that are in need of a kicker, certainly not just Dhazer posting the video he posted here. The fact that the Texans let him go (13 days,) and he cleared waivers is virtually meaningless at this point from any source I have read, as they all attribute it to a lack of tape. The consensus presently is that he will be going to the Lions, but nobody can talk to him until the UFL season is over. He did miss 2 field goals last week. One from 58 yards and one from 62 yards. In high winds. His only 2 misses this year. Of course this week, he made all 5 field goals, one of which was from 60 yards. He did have one blocked this year, but the rushing team brought 12 men and roughed him on the play, so he got a do over and made that one as well. Many many people know this story I'm telling here, certainly every front office in the NFL, but apparently not here. I sense real trouble if the Lions do get this guy.

Mucky Tundra (30-Jan) : Now that's a thought, maybe they're looking at the college ranks? Maybe not head coaches but DC/assistant DCs with league experience?
beast (30-Jan) : College Coaches wouldn't want that publicly, as it would hurt recruiting and they might not get the job.
beast (30-Jan) : I thought they were supposed to publicly announce them, at least the NFL ones. Hafley was from college, so I believe different rules.
Mucky Tundra (30-Jan) : Who knows who they're interviewing? I mean, nobody knew about Hafley and then out of nowhere he was hired
beast (30-Jan) : I wonder what's taking so long with hiring a DL coach, 2 of the 3 known to interview have already been hired elsewhere.

buckeyepackfan (26-Jan) : I forgot, they corrected the call a week later. Lol btw HAPPY BIRTHDAY dhazer!
buckeyepackfan (26-Jan) : That brings up the question, why wasn't Nixon down by contact? I think that was the point Kanata was making.

packerfanoutwest (26-Jan) : well, he was
TheKanataThrilla (26-Jan) : Eagles down by contact on the fumble....fuck you NFL
Mucky Tundra (26-Jan) : I think this games over
