I was thinking about this, and it was a toss up between the tackle positions; and I am going to have to go with left tackle because it is Rodgers' blind side.
Clifton and Tauscher both looked very worn during the Eagles game. The 3 sacks we gave up didn't tell the entire story - their defense was getting pressure at will on Aaron Rodgers from the edge rush - Aaron Rodgers last season would have probably suffered two more by holding onto the rock for a tad longer.
I do not want to discredit Aaron Rodgers toughness, but it only takes one foul hit to derail a season, and maybe a career if it is bad enough. I always get a frightlike feeling whenever I see rushers coming at Rodgers.
You cannot conceal platinum with paper, someone will rip it and take the prize.
Without our star quarterback and starting half back, our defence would probably have to do too much against elite opposition, regardless of any weakness they may have as a unit (Secondary/Line depth).
I do not think it would be prudent to consider Bulaga starting at left tackle this season as his camp was spent working at guard, we saw last season that constant switching of personnel & positions can hinder our line's ability to protect.
