That won't happen with the old head queen running the offense Porky..he wants his stats and he wants them now!

Yup. He's got to keep ahead of Peyton Manning.

I got a top secret athlete translator decoder ring. It translates athlete speak into English. Watch this:

Athlete: It's not about the money.

Translator decoder ring: It's about the money.

Athlete: I don't really care about stats.

Translator decoder ring: I look at my stats daily and am obsessed with them.

See? It works pretty well.

I really did not expect to see a 23 point game.

I've been predicting the Vikings to go 10-6 all offseason, and I didn't see anything this game to make me revise my estimate, though 9-7 would no longer surprise me.

I wasn't impressed with either team, but hard to judge right now. I'll say this, it was a mistake free game, which is nice to watch every now and then.

What do you mean when you say it was mistake free?

Yeah.. I dunno about 'mistake free'.. but I was nice to see minimal mistakes. There was a few weird calls/noncalls on both teams, though.

Was surprised to see the game as low scoring as it was and as well as close as it was.. Honestly I half expected a blow out by one team or the other. Figured with all the emotion, one of the teams would become mistake prone and the other takes advantage.

Not happy with much of the Vikings play calling or adjustments in the 2nd half.. Especially with the positives ending the first half. It almost seemed like AP is just an afterthought now.

I know things will continue to get better.. These few games are going to be like the preseason for Favre and his WRs to get their chemistry on. Like I said in the shout.. I'm just pissed that it has to be the Aints that they played.. Now we'll continue to hear how much Katrina helped that team and Bush hates black people and blah blah blah.

I did not expect 14-9.
Of course the Saints left several points on the field. 2 missed "chip shot" field goals.....the last one never should have had to be kicked anyway. Should have been a touchdown.
The Saints screwed up, and STILL won.

Well I enjoyed that just as I do every time the Vikings lose. I thought the offensive play calling in the first half was absolutely atrocious for both sides. I felt the Saints shot themselves in the foot a lot. The missed field goals and dropped balls were bad and should not be happening. Though I do think the Vikings defense played well. It seemed in the passing game that Favre really only trusted Shiancoe. It's hard to gauge where the Vikings are with the injuries and the team they played, but I'm glad to see them at 0-1.
