First, there is a pretty wide consensus on this forum that the Lions going forward pose the biggest threat in our division. I'm not sure that'll be the case next year but if not it will be within the next 2 to 3 years. I've felt they have been on the rise for a couple years now. Still, they were 6-10 last year and hadn't won a game on the road since 2007 when they went in and beat Tampa Bay. It was an embarrassing loss for us and it was embarrassing for them.

Also, the Bucs have our number AT Tampa. They are terrible in Green Bay. The Vikings owned us at the metrodump back in the mid-90s but it didn't mean they were the better team those years.

Neither of these points change the fact that they played a pathetic schedule and largely got by with close wins over shit teams. They're strength of victory was .387 compared to Green Bay's .475. They won a game against the Redskins by 1 point because Washington missed something like two or three close field goals and an extra point to tie. It took them until the last play to edge a poor Rams team by one point at home. They beat lowly Cincinatti and Cleveland by a mere field goal in each game.

They are not a scary team until they can show they can play with the big boys and they did not do that last year.
