First thought to mind.. new holiday dish.. "Please pass the cockaroach"...

That or becoming confused with another type of 'Roach'... "See man, I told ya that smoking weed was a positive maaaaaaaaaaaan."

Cockroach brains may be the newest source for antibiotics. Sounds yucky, but it is totally true. Cockroaches are said to be able to survive everything, and tissues from their brains and nervous systems kill off a whopping 90% of E. coli and MRSA bacteria.

Cockroach Brain Tissue have Amazing Antibiotic Properties

The amazing thing about the antibiotic properties of the cockroach brains is that they are powerful killers of unwanted bacteria, but they do not harm the human cells, which makes them a great choice for medication according to the L.A. Times.

Right now, researchers believe that the proteins in the cockroach brains are what kill the bacteria so effectively. They are still studying the tissues to figure out how and why they work. This is amazing news because right now so many bacteria have become resistant to the antibiotics we use currently. New options will help prevent future illnesses throughout the world.

Thats pretty amazing stuff from something as hated as the cockroach. Hopefully sometimes soon, you will cockroach antibiotics to treat antibiotic resistant bacterial infections.
