Sometimes I wish their points were mute too.

It is only a sign the other teams think the guys we cut are better than the guys they are keeping.

Anything else is reading something into it that is not really there. They could be wrong in their assessments, we could be letting go better players than we keep.

I do agree with most of the cuts. I can see the point in all of them.
I want to go out like my Grandpa did. Peacefully in his sleep.

On twitter Bedard said he thought it could mean the Packers cut the wrong players. He said he thought Wynn and McDonald wouldn't have been claimed.

All it means is we had the best of bubble players though out the league.

Didn't Wynn get cut and make it through waivers?

McDonald is like Wells, plus a lot more potential as he's body is better but minus he's not NFL ready. 6-4, 316 pound OG/C who has very quick and good footwork and hand placement... that's something you don't cut if you can help it. He's not strong enough yet but he clearly has the room to buck up some more. I'd keep him over Newhouse who's lacking the quickness for OT but lacking a ton of the OG technique which they can try to teach him but it's one of those things if you can't get used to it you won't work out in the long run...

Look at the teams that picked up the players that GB cut.
It is possible that none of them will finish over .500. (I am willing to concede that being in the weak NFC West also means that AZ and Seattle have a shot at being over .500 but if they were in one of the other divisions they would very likely have 3-4 more losses by the end of the year.)

Even so, it should not comes as a surprise that GB's 54-60 players are better than KC, Detroit and TB's 50-53rd players so why would they not try and grab one the them. And why should they trade for these players when they would have first crack at these or other players of similar ability?

Who on our team would you cut now to get these players on the roster?

There wasn't a cut I seen on the team that I thought was a show stopper for this season.. actually I wish they would have sliced off one or two more.

No surprise at all. But maybe it's a mild surprise that these teams picked up the most players from the Packers rather than one of several teams that were as good as or better than the Packers last season (Saints, Colts, Vikings, Patriots, Chargers, Cowboys, and maybe a few others). I don't see it as a big deal, but maybe it's a good sign.

Just because they're picked up doesn't mean they'll play this year or even remain on the roster long. Plenty of the players picked up this week will be cut by midseason. Anthony Smith never played a down for the Rams, and Tyrell Sutton hardly stepped on the field the entire season for the Panthers.

All you have to do is ask yourself whether any of the players released will make a difference in whether or not the Packers are Super Bowl caliber team. I don't think they would, so therefor it's a moot point.

Just getting the moot part right is worth a plus one in this environment, lol

To everyone else:

It is not a mute point.

Too = also
to= get there, etc.
Two= 2

Core= the base, the internal- core of an apple, etc
Corps= the group, the assemblage...e.g. United States Marine Corps

Not Corp, either.

Non stop impersonation off

:tongue3:
