I remember Williams doing punts a little bit in the past and he actually had a few good returns. It's just a little sketchy when our depth at CB is already pretty low.

Not sure what to think about B-Jack.

I have a feeling though that they're hoping Shields can work out the kinks. If he can just learn to catch the damn ball he'll be fine.

Yeah but that thing aren't really been updated... it's the same order as the start of training camp minus the guys that didn't make the team.

Tausher doesn't even have a back-up if that's right...

Who needs returners?

1. The opposing team only gets to kick off once before the game is decided.

2. Every punt (for the other team) gets blocked.

:)

I see that I'm not the only one experiencing some longer loading times when trying to post. Lol.

Anyway, Brandon Jackson has been getting hurt every couple of carries. I hope he stays healthy and that he can help us on KRs.

If he does get hurt, we still have Nelson on our roster, who wasn't spectacular, but not too bad, either.

Like DJ said, Williams has actually looked quite good on PRs, but having your starting CB return punts has something scary about it. Especially with either Shields or Underwood being thrown into the starting spot if Williams would go down.

BJ Raji doesn't have a listed backup either. I thought we'd keep Toribio(sp) for that.

I have trouble believing that one of our two RB's is our primary returner on kicks and one of two of our starters at CB are primary returner for punts.

About the only things scarier than having Tramon risking injury by returning punts would be:
3. Having Greg Jennings risking injury by returning punts.
2. Having Charles Woodson risking injury by returning punts.
1. Having Aaron Rodgers risking injury by returning punts.

IMO, you don't have a starter returning punts unless you've got starter-class backups (and maybe not even then). I'd have a contest to see which backup has the best hands, and then tell him to fair catch every punt first.

I have forgotten what Shields screwed up as a returner.

The kid is lightning-fast...

Seriously, can someone refresh my memory?

He went to the Troy Williamson school of football catching.

So really, next to Tramon on PRs, who do we have to put out there?

Pickett is the back-up NT (and he makes less mistakes than Raji).

I think Nelson was better than Jackson at KR but we'll see what Jackson has...
