last preseason game: no injuries...so it was a good game...beside that i didnt like the way the players on the bubble played...they were supposed to make cut decison tough but i think nobody step up and make the job harder for the coaches

This made me laugh.

The first drive made me nervous, seeing gregarious drop an easy pass on the first drive brought back nightmares of last year's slow starts. As already stated though, one should not read too much into a final pre-season game. More than anything, I am glad that we got through the preseason with little injury.

So the reason Swain couldnt score on that long pass was an injury to the knee earlier in the game?

Okay, I take back some of the skepticism I expressed during the chat.

He was definitely hobbling a bit after the play, favoring the knee that he had banged on the ground earlier in the game. The guy who tackled him came from the middle of the field and had the angle on him, but Swain may have been able to outrun or elude him if he hadn't dinged the knee. As I said elsewhere, it didn't look like the kind of injury that will affect him for long. Just a bang, not a twist.

Swains ball was thrown short too. If he was led or hit in stride, touchdown. I think.
