Rodgers was just a "smidgen" off his game in places last evening.
That really didn't matter, did it? God, he is so scary good when he is protected. As weird as it might sound, our shit-box offensive line the past couple of years just might have made us a much better offensive football team. His ability to get rid of the ball so very fast, and accurately...
...Coupled with much-improved line play...
Wow. He (Aaron) really does look better than he did last year, especially quick-release-wise.
This is what Wade and I have been howling at the moon about for the past couple of years. If our pass protection is going to be as good as last night, we are going to be unstoppable. I especially enjoyed the ability of our offense to respond to that shit-box ineptitude (embarrassing on national TV) displayed at the beginning of the game by the "D".
I have spoken in the past about how a good offensive line can help both your offense and defense. I think it fair to say we saw some of that last night. I know we were in the nickel, played "vanilla" D etc.-- I am NOT bitching about the "D", just pointing out that with a little time, Rodgers can carve up ANY team in this league, and this season is ure looking like it is going to be a complete "blast" as a Packer fan.
Pack, I'm glad we went with Tausch instead of Jon. :thumbleft: --And Cliffy looks like those knee surgeries "took".
The prospects for this season are looking very good to me.
(I told ya Flynn could move this team)
