Packers Lose again to Colts - Guy Signs with Colts

Not the end of the world, but the Packers invested some time into Guy and he would have been able to fill in and know the defensive calls.

The Packers have lost defensive tackle Lawrence Guy from their practice squad, as he will join the Indianapolis Colts active roster, according to a tweet from Colts owner Jim Irsay.

Green Bay selected Guy in the seventh round of the 2011 NFL Draft out of Arizona State, where Guy was a freshman All-American in 2008.

During his rookie training camp, Guy suffered a concussion that forced him to be placed on injured reserve. He was released at the end of training camp this season, but was later added to the practice squad.

With Guy's departure, Green Bay has two open slots on the practice squad, as the team signed offensive lineman Drew Van Roten to the active roster last Saturday.

The Packers announced Tuesday that they will add defensive tackle Drew Vanderlin and wide receiver Jeremy Ross to the practice squad.

Fun Fact.. Vanderlin grew up and played high school ball in Green Bay. Talk about a dream come true.

right not the end of the world. players change teams all the time so they better have a way to change the signals.

good luck to Guy. He wasn't good enough to make the regular team and sit on the end of the bench. Hope he plays better in Indy.

The point was really trying to work in the Vanderlin add in without sounding to entertained that they signed a local kid.

Ted "hates" Badger players.. so it is surprising he found a local talent to add. 😉
